Hardy. This phone lasted more than two years for our son, who is very hard phones; so, it is definitely hardy.

Not sure what phone the reviewers were using because the Samsung 8 I bought is probably the worst phone I've ever used in terms of ease of use. The sequence of clicks needed to get from point A to point B is rediculously long and illogical. The side menu feature randomly brings up pages other than the apps I've put there. the voice to text can't understand English and phonetically spells even simple common words. the Selective Focus feature requires a tripod to work based on how long you have to hold the camera still for each "shot". And of course, because the 15day buyers remorse period is over for me I'm stuck for at least a year. Recommendation: Unless you like constantly redoing settings, are really careful how you handlle the "edge" so that you don't trigger another app and lose whatever you are doing and you like sending voice to text messages in an alien tongue. don't get the Samsung 8

Great starter phone for my wife. Charger lasts long time for her use. Great phone for the money. Phone and Internet works great.
