    Basic Phone is

If you're looking for a decent basic phone look no further. Bought this for less than $10 during the deal of the day. Definitely felt like I got more than I paid. It's unusual to see phones under $10 to have a camera. Also came with Tetris. The fact that you can get this phone unlocked on ebay for $1.00 making it a perfect emergency phone. The only annoyance of this phone is the battery life. It is relatively short for a flip phone. I remember flip phones last a week on standby. This phone will not last anywhere near that before charge. Another minor pet peeve is that this phone is unusable without a sim card in it. You'll just see the insert sim message. So if you were looking to see old texts, pictures etc. without the sim card no luck.

This phone is not a smart phone, but if you are looking for a basic phone that has excellent call and text ability, then this is the phone for you. I also love the fact that it is so compact and easy to carry in your pocket. An excellent phone without all the unnecessary bells and whistles.

It was set up without any trouble at the AT&T store. Not every function is intuitive, but has every basic plus the camera. Inexpensive, and The cover over the charging port feels flimsy.

    Not a bad backup phone

The Z221 is much smaller than many phones I've had, so it's much easier to find a spot for when wearing close-fitting jeans or carrying a messenger bag packed with school stuff. I'm a bit of a klutz, so the poor thing's been through the wringer, and come out like a junkyard dog, and through about six months' use, the battery life has remained stable, giving me about three days between charges with constant texting. However, if you're looking for something to make a lot of calls on, or if you're the social sort who photographs everything, get something else. This thing has poorer call quality than a pair of tin cans NOT attached by a string, and the camera is just there to say it's there. Using the alarm is pointless, the Bluetooth will not actually send or receive files, it takes an act of Congress to change the background to a picture that was taken by the phone or received via text message and saved, and the menus are about as intuitive as a blind rat in a maze made of cheese. In all, if you get this phone, expect to use it as more of a pager than anything.

    Good Back-Up Phone And Features

I accidently broke my BlackBerry Torch last week by dropping it in the sidewalk. Then I had to go look for a decent, little temporary phone I can use a little while until I can upgrade to a new phone. When I passed by this phone, I knew it would work for me. Not only it would make calls, send text messages, and browse the web, but it can also multitask (just like the iPhone), it has bluetooth, it has an app center to download apps, and a video camera so you can record those little memories on the camera. For $39.99, and all of those features it has, I would recommend this product to anyone. This does the job!

My father wanted a simple phone while being easy to use, and this phone fits the bill perfectly. The phone can get a lot of use on a wall charge, and has great UI to allow quick balance review on phone time. Excellent buy indeed!

This is easy to use, access and maintain. With the prepaid card plans, this becomes a very affordable cell phone plan with access to wifi, 4G, data and text.

This phone fits my desires perfectly. I am saving money on this pay as you go phone at 10 cents a minute. I was paying much more under a bell cell phone plan. I love the alarm and calendar features. It is also very durable.

Found myself with an in-law that did not need a smartphone and is perfectly happy with a flip. For the price and no commitment, this was a great deal.

Don't have great expectations. You talk/maybe you text; that's it. It's a good phone for mom because the keys are large, spaced, and have good tactile action. Don't expect *anything* else. The camera is weak and the web browser is... a bad joke. If that's what my friend wants, then I recommend it to him. If he wants to surf the web, this device isn't in his future.

    Great little flip phone, except...

First, this is a great flip phone... Unless you would like to dial a phone number. After just about three weeks, the number "2" quit working. Now to dial or text anything that involves pressing the "2" key, I have to press quite firmly... Meaning I frequently end up having to backspace an entire entry and start over. I gave it three stars instead of a single star because other than the critical failure of the "2" key everything else about the phone works great. And as cheap as this phone is, I can just buy a new one every 3 to 4 weeks! I own an iPhone as my primary cell phone but use this as a spare, but why can't they make a good old flip phone these days?

It works very nicely for local calls.

It works great for local calls, the camera is a little hard to work at times but that's probably my fault as it works a bit different from my normal cell phone camera. Also I was shocked when it charged me for taking a picture when I did not access the network. It also tends to end the call if you are put on hold for more than 1 minute. It might be because I didn't purchase long distance but these were 800 numbers so I didn't realize they wouldn't count.
