Mine was not. All new records skip, even after cleaning . Didn’t save the box or packaging and isn’t worth the hassle to return. I will buy something else that is adjustable.

Bad stylus on two separate turntables

I bought it at my local Best Buy, took it home and got it all set up anticipating great sound on my stereo system. But the stylus made strange and distorted sounds when I played an album. It sounded almost hollow. So I packed it up and took it back to the store hoping they could play it so they could hear what I was hearing, and maybe just replace the cartridge. But no, the so-called Geek Squad does not have receivers and speakers to be able to play turntables to fix issues and diagnose problems. I was forced to return the whole unit and order a new one. This time I picked the option to have the new turntable shipped directly to my home and it arrived in two days. Again when I hooked everything up, I heard the same distorted noises coming from the needle. That was it for me so I returned the unit to my local store, got a full refund, and ordered a new SONY turntable from Amazon and it works just fine.

Belt Drive Turntable

Not sure how long the belt drive will last before replacement. But much more cost effective than a fancy direct drive for the average consumer.
