    Its more of a hybrid surge protector. Still has a few movs after the initial surge absorption. It will turn a high surge in to a much lower voltage and cut power when its over a certain voltage. Designer of this is the same person who worked on furmans smp surge protectors so basically the same design. The only thing this is missing is undervoltage protection where it cuts the power if voltage is to low.

    this was recommended by my total tech guy and I have had uninterrupted service since day one. If your going to put all the big bucks into a system then spend a few extra bucks and protect it with a top of the line surge surge protector

    Looks nice, doesn’t cost a lot, appears to be working well. I’m coming from an old API wedge with isolation transformers. The AQ seems to offer better line filtering resulting in less noise. So, for the price and utility it gets five stars.
