Wrong Product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nothing against the product it just wasn't what we needed to hook up our Sonos system to a 2009 TV. It did not work. It is unfortuante that Sonos requires a optical cord yet there is no adapter available for tv's older than 3 years or so.

Overpriced but works

My main TV did not have a jack input so I needed to convert to convert an optical to jack.

Did not work for my application
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was trying to use for my Sonos sound-bar and Mac book. Once i plugged them in headphone port the speaker would not recognize there was a source.

Doesn't work
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this to add my new soundbar to my t.v. Plugs in fine but doesn't work. No sound from the sound bar. I know the sound bar works because it sounds fine when i connect it to my directv box.

works with my tv adapter for my hearing aids
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The cable that is supplied with my tv connector for my hearing aids has a toslink plug that goes into the TV and the mini optical plug that goes into my tv connector so that I can hear the tv through my hearing aids. However for my wall mounted TV with cables running through the wall, I needed this adapter so that I could use that audio cable to plug in my TV connector. Has worked great for several months now.
