Love my smart lock. So easy to use, and easy to set up. Makes my life so much easier

As an early-adopter of tech, this smart home purchase has been the most disappointing (I've done Hue and Nest - I like home automation). Smart locks are just too immature at present. Poor integration with Google Home and the unreliability of the August Smart Lock to connect to its bridge give me pause. I do not recommend smart locks until products improve. If you still want one - yes, installation is super easy. That was a plus. Otherwise, avoid this product.

This door lock works great but only uses bluetooth and your range is limited...you will get the most out of it with the August Connect so you can use WI-FI to be able to lock/unlock from anywhere

Works as good as it said it would. Very easy to install. Only need a screw driver.

A great lock that does what it is supposed to do. Just be careful that your doors deadbolt fits perfect with no resistance or this lock may fail or get jammed. Had to modify my door slightly.

This works well. The only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is because of its bulky appearance. This could be a little more ascetically pleasing but it’s a good lock nonetheless.

Easy to install and works excellent I recommend this HomeKit enabled lock

The only reason is it not a 5 star, is because it can be a little slow using the bluetooth or connecting via WiFi. Which means, I just setup the auto-unlock and don't have to worry about it.

Need to fix the price it is so expensive there are other products for less

My experience is based on Android app of August Smart Lock. The most important feature for which I bought this lock for is auto unlock when you approach the door. That feature worked initially and then it stopped. I reached out to August Support a few times but it didn't help after all kinds of troubleshooting. In addition to that the app would take some time to connect to lock. I would have to sit in my car or stand in cold waiting for the crappy app to connect with the lock so that I can unlock the door. In contrast to this, Nest Yale lock app connects pretty quickly and you have another option of touch pad to key in your code to unlock the door. I continued my frustrating experience until the lock completely stopped working. I was actually happy that now I can finally get rid of it. Now I have Nest Yale Smart lock which works flawlessly. It doesn't have auto unlock feature but it does everything else and much better than August Smart Lock. The Nest App is simple, easy to use and offers fast connectivity.

Kids kept losing keys and leaving door open . Now they can access by phone app. They never lose phone..
