virtual keys work good. would be great if used with connect, as can be used with wifi. cons: too much battery consumption.

Works smooth when you have Bluetooth connectivity. Wish I could say the same with remotely unlock/lock feature with the august connect.

This is a great lock, works every time I have used it, can not say that for all my automation. I like that was not an entire new lock, just modified my old deadbolt. It was easy to install. It is a bit clunky looking but looking at version 3 I think I will stick with this one.

I really enjoy this product. The listed features work as described. It also a really cool so piece for guest. I've tried all the features and they work very well. Auto-lock, geo-location auto unlock (with apple homekit), siri commands, guest passes, etc. I highly recommend his product.

It last for about 2 years then I had to get a new one. I guess that is good.

Works well, though if you don't have an Iphone, expect to spend the extra money on the connect unless you don't want remote access.

I bought this and installed with ease. Had to return it do to not compatible with my deadbolt. I would recommend this product.

Works pretty great. Range is good. Geofencing works accurately that it unlocks the door when I am nearby. Getting homekit enabled version was better decision I made. This works flawlessly with Siri and if you have an apple tv in your home, you can access the lock remotely as well.

I cannot tell you how disappointed I am in this product. Installing it was easy, getting it set up on my phone was not. Getting the text to confirm was quick and easy, however, getting them to send the email to confirm is impossible. I spent 30 minutes on the customer service line with an employee at August that set up the email address for me, however, she misspelled the email address. Painful.

This lock is too expensive to not work 100%. This lock does not play well with android devices. The auto unlock feature doesn't work all the time. It is really bulky and the battery plate keeps popping off.

This lock was an upgrade from my Kēvo, it works exactly like it want.. locks automatically when I leave, unlocks automatically when I arrive home, I can unlock it from anywhere thanks to HomeKit. I am a huge fan of the August! Five stars!

Connection with keypad and bridge are poor. Phone connection is ok but not quick. Sometimes after entering code with keypad it takes a bit to connect, it's faster scrambling to look for keys before lock acatually wakes up and opens. Very odd. I don't need software updates and everything is installed perfectly and manual was double checked to confirm install as well.

I love this door lock! It’s amazing, so nice not to have to make extra keys. It’s great for kids because they always have their phones on them. I would differently recommend this product. I would like to have one for every door.

I really like the concept of an automated door lock but this product has a lot of rough edges. It wasn't able to connect to an iPhone 7 without an update - fortunately my iPad was able to connect to get the update in. Even after that I find that it has erratic contact with the home kit setup. Considering this model is marketed as a home kit solution that just doesn't fly.

Generally the lock works well but the HomeKit feature is frustrating to set up and get working with Apple TV

The gadget works sometimes kept loosing connection so you will always have to rely on the key, had to reset a couple times. If you get the additional accessories it may work better but it is already high priced you must keep the old hardware on the door, so you are paying 200$ for a slick doorknob.

Purchased the August Lock a few months ago. It has worked great. Just make sure to calibrate the lock well.

Not 100% reliable but pretty close. Works with Homekit.
