This was been working well for over a year, use quality batteries in it though

We originally purchased this device to end the need of passing keys to family and friends while we're traveling. It ended up being a daily "key replacement" for us instead.

Added keypad and wifi module to get the most out of the lock. Only issues are the size but you get use to it and to be reliable I I change the batteries every month and a half.

I purchased this item from local BestBuy store and installed it for my front door. After the installation, I spent about an hour to setup the Bluetooth with my iphone (I downloaded the app from app store). The Bluetooth could not pair with my phone. After several attempts without success, I had to remove it from my door and returned it.

This lock is good for a basic door lock. It can replace a standard bolt lock.

The auto unlock could use some work. Sometimes it times out failing before I get to the door

I love this product, it gives me the ability to open the door for my kids, housekeeper and dog walker for only the amount of time need it for each person. It's great to be able to be in control even when you are not there.

Gave as a Christmas present and my parents love the convenience this product provides

Like that I can lock the door from anywhere but sometimes it takes forever to connect

I read a lot of other people say it doesn't work but I tried anyways. Auto unlocked worked twice for my girlfriend. It auto unlocked twice for me... after I manually unlocked it, walked inside and after the auto lock triggered. Auto lock is the only thing that worked.

The lock itself is good and feels quite sturdy. The challenge is without the August Connect it only supports Bluetooth LE, which means local locking/unlocking only. For the same price range, there are more renowned lock vendors like Schlage that can offer complete deadbolt + z-wave compatibility making it easier to manage these remotely.

Disappointed that the door doesn't unlock when I approach. I have the bridge so I can unlock from afar. Apparently this undoes the Bluetooth proximity unlock. Usually have to sit at the locked door for 10 seconds while it unlocks before it opens. I'd rather use a key. Forget Alexa/Amazon...it doesn't work at all. Wouldn't buy this again.

Functionality is there. Used on an interior door and worked without any modification.

I wast using the Kevo Smart Lock until it start failing so I decide to change to the August. Been loving the change, the best feature is the auto-unlock. Also using Siri to open the door is very convenient.

Though needs calibrations frequently and enablement with wifi will be good add on.

This lock provides notifications for when people lock/unlock the door, and can be set so when you arrive at home, the door automatically unlocks. Great for someone investing in a Smart Home.

better work with door sensor, so that it won't lock even the door is not close.

Sometimes it doesn't always work or gets stuck but overall a decent product

I've personally owned two other brands/models of automated locks. This is by far the best when you pair it with the wifi bridge or the doorbell which provides you with the wifi bridge as an added benefit.

Wish the hub will connect to all the locks. Otherwise it works well.
