This item works well, it's small and easy to install

If you are getting the August Smart Lock then this is a MUST HAVE accessory - this is the backup for when a smartphone is out of battery, when you are on a phone call with your bluetooth headset or else a friend or guest has a smart phone that is not compatible. The One Touch locking is a MUST have for convenience too!!

I purchased this keypad to use in conjunction with my august smartlock. I really like the august smartlock and the app works great for opening the door automatically when I get home, but wanted a back-up way to get in in case I left the house without my phone.

the keypad is a great addition to the August smartlock. There is however a slight delay when you enter the code until the lock unlocks. But there is also the same delay when unlocking from the app.

Great little addition to the August locks on our house. The motion light doesn't work reliably for us, but as soon as you push a button the whole thing lights up so it's not a big deal.

I own the August lock, and I was really excited to purchase the Smart Keypad for it. Read a lot of mixed reviews, but I went to the nearest Best Buy and bought it after all. Easy to install. It worked literally for 2 days. I changed the batteries few time, worked for 5-10 minutes and that was it. I would not recommend this product.

Have had the product for about a month. Already getting low battery notifications. Sometimes cannot get the keypad to connect to the lock.

This is a great accessory to the august lock. Sometimes it does take a while for it to open the lock when you use the passcode but that might be due to my internet connection.

August is a decent product, I reviewed their lock already. I do find their keypad to be one of the best on the market for any lock.

This is not cheap and it does not do what it’s supposed to consistently. Disappointed.

I purchased this device in case my phone battery died, in addition to when the phone would not connect to the lock. It works great, very responsive. I only had connection issues twice in the months that I have had it. Which is significantly less than my phone. Overall would recommend.

No issues so far. Device paired to lock easily. Wish response time was a little faster but it’s not horrible.

A must have if you have an agust lock! Had a bit of a challenging install but once hashed out with the really great customer service at August all is good.

Sometimes it doesn’t work and I hate that there’s no way of knowing when the battery is low or dead

Works as intended and pairs awesome but a screen would help so you can know what you’re typing and what’s its receiving

Works perfectly with August lock. Only complaint I have is that once you mount it, it's plastic so it seems to pop off if you install securely.

The keypad is a lot smaller than I was expecting. I was thinking that it was going to be a large keypad like what you find on most garage doors. This was half the size and included everything you needed to setup and place around your door.

I really love this. We are renters, and it's great to be able to automate our home! Only setback is that the keypad doesn't like cold weather.

Never have encounter an issue with communication. It’s been more than a year and no faded numbers that might give a clue which numbers might open the lock .
