Amazing product. Install super easy and connected to the wi fi with the doorbell that is also made with the system. I do wish they had specified that you either need the adapter or doorbell to connect via Internet.

Auto unlock feature does not work. After several calls to customer support, I was advised that it was not compatible with IOS 9. They could not tell me when an upgrade to the app would be available. This is true for the auto-unlock feature only.

Fairly easy to install (make sure your door doesn't have trim that gets in the way of the locking tabs). App is easy to use and kids love it!

Works great ... Had to return the first one due to malfunction after a month of use. I deducted one star because it is so bulky .... I see there is a new brand that is a lot smaller

August Smart Lock love it. It's nice not to have to use a key to lock and unlock the door. Very is to set up and use

It's a great way to get a connected lock! Works great but my only issue is that the WiFi device is separate and costs another 50$.

I love this BT lock, but the latency is a bit longer than I would like (about 7 seconds when away from home).

Slow response, was quicker to just get my key out and open the door. It didn't register I was nearby until I was literally at the door, and would unlock sometimes while I was sitting in the living room. Bulky product

August rarely connected on either my phone or my husband's phone, so we purchased August Connect as a companion hoping it would solve any Bluetooth connection issues we had and that didn't help either. August Connect would disconnect and August Lock wouldn't recognize a Bluetooth connection when we were standing right in front of the lock, so we were back to manually unlocking the door with keys. Our Kuna, which also runs on an internet connection, works fine so it can't be an issue with my internet. This product would be great if it can fix all the connectivity issues that it has.

Purchased this and the Connect Wi-Fi Adapter a couple of days later. Installation took only a few minutes. As the instructions state, don't over tighten the screws else the wings on the August lock won't have space to close and secure it to the mounting plate. Calibration was just as fast and easy. A lock software update took a few minutes but completed without issue. Setup in my Xfinity Home security app was quick and easy. So far, I've had no Bluetooth or wifi communication issues. Over Bluetooth, there's the inherent brief connection delay. Should be obvious but, if you have dual locks on your door, this will not work as intended for you. Ditto if your deadbolt doesn't lock and unlock smoothly because of a door alignment or other issue. On to a few desired improvements. I like the idea of the EverLock auto re-locking function but in reality it can lock you out of the house because it simply re-locks the door at the user selected interval whether the door was unlocked with the app or manually. Have it set to the default 1 minute or whatever time you select, step outside without your phone or other device, and forget to re-enter before time is up, you're locked out. It would be better if the EverLock timer worked in conjunction with the location-based features that the Auto-Unlock function uses to only unlock the door when a connected smartphone is within range outside of the house but not to unlock the door when the device is within range inside of the house. Basically, only engage EverLock if a connected smartphone is detected within Bluetooth range outside of the house. It's not a perfect solution because of scenarios where the device might be out of range and, without wifi connectivity using the optional module, it can't alert the device that the door is unlocked. Still, I hope it at least becomes a user selectable option when a Connect Wi-Fi Adapter is set up. Guest List setup can be better explained to the guest in the text message that they receive. As it stands, The message simply tells them they've been invited and provides a link to install the app. They're then left to figure out how to set up their account because it's not obvious that they need to create an account by entering their phone number. Finally, Internet access to your account would be very useful should you lose or not have access to your smartphone and needs to manage door access or your settings.

The lock is OK. Connection is spotty and auto-unlock almost never worked (Android), but the Bluetooth feature is pretty handy and it's good to know when your home is being accessed. The Wi-Fi accessory is a must.

Great investment for my home. Since I have bought this product I have not used a key. Love the fact that I can control it on my phone when I'm away.

Love my August lock and the ease of installation. Only thing I wished was that it came in an oil rubbed bronze finish to match my door kit.

Very expensive product. Idea is good. But doesn't work so good. Bluetooth is useless.
