I haven't used this for streaming at all (and to be frank, idk how good the old USB 2.0 is), but I do use this extensively for working at home. My microphone / audio quality is great and my picture comes out very well. I can definitely say that this is going to be my webcam for the long term. I was bummed at first that I had to buy such an expensive webcam (everyone was sold out or wouldn't come in for a month!). But frankly the build quality and everything else comes out sounding/looking so well - It changed my thinking. In a professional context - even just for inter office meetings - this camera is great quality and will make you "pop" and look ready to go.

The camera is wonderful for a beginner camera, but I feel like i paid full price for a camera and got a cheap capture card. The capture card doesn't push a steady picture to OBS or Streamlabs, and i ended up going back to console streaming. For the price I paid i couldve gotten a more pro camera and just not bought a capture card.

The only reason I didn’t give this a 5 star is because it doesn’t have the party chat option when streaming on obs compared to the Elgato HD60s or HD60s+. Other than that the set up is super easy. No software needed when using on obs or stream labs. The camera has really good quality.

This is a great bundle for getting started with web streaming. It comes with everything you need for capturing both yourself via the AVerMedia Live Streamer CAM 313, and game play via the AVerMedia Live Gamer MINI. Here are my thoughts on each: The Live Gamer MINI has outstanding performance. It has an onboard encoder which means it offloads the video encoding from your computer. I can't stress enough how important this feature is. I'm using it with a 2018 MacBook Pro and my Mac operates quietly while capturing video via OBS. This is not true of some other capture devices costing twice the price (like the Elgato Game Capture HD60 S+) which causes the fans on my Mac to scream very loudly as to make it unusable in a live situation. Not so with the Live Gamer MINI. I own both and I recommend the AVerMedia Live Gamer MINI, hands down because it includes a build-in video encoder. The AVerMedia Live Streamer CAM 313 is a good webcam but not a great webcam. For some odd reason, AVerMedia has applied a permanent S-Curve to the video which crushes the blacks and blows out the whites. No amount of tweaking linear controls like brightness and contrast can compensate to this unfortunate curve. Maybe they think it looks good but I (and most reviews I have seen) do not. Other than that it's a whole lot better than the build-in webcam on my MacBook Pro and the bundle makes it less expense so I kept it. My only other complaint is that the Live Gamer MINI uses a Mini-USB jack and comes with a Mini-USB to USB-A cable but all recent Macs come with USB-C inputs so I had to purchase a separate Mini-USB to USB-C cable. A USB-A to USB-C adapter will also work. Just be mindful that you need something if your computer only has USB-C ports or you won't be able to plug it into your Mac.

If you are just learning to record and stream you can't go wrong. the price mixed with ease of use is just the thing for the amateur streamer. The only issue I have with this product was the lack of instructions for connecting to different devices but once I figured out what device to use for what the connection was very simple and works well. you do still need to know how to create content which can get complicated and does not reflect directly on the product.

As the pandemic of COVID-19 hit, and my state of Pennsylvania enacted stay at home orders, I ran to my nearest Best Buy to purchase what ever they had to allow me to Live Stream and this was it. I am using the Live Gamer Mini to live stream church services twice a week at 720p 30fps. It's been 4 weeks and so far its been working great. I've been using the webcam on my home PC for MS Teams and Skype meetings and the audio and video quality have been excellent.

Got this mainly to stream. The camera however turned out to be a pleasant surprise. I didn’t think I needed a webcam until I saw the quality of this one. Capture card still relies heavily on computers graphics so be prepared to hear your fans spinning like crazy.

Nice addition to the streaming set up. I enjoy the addtional software provided by the manufacture. An added bonus was the easy of use to connect and start streaming right away. Use it will a ring light for near professional stream, compared to a digital camera.

I mainly got this, as I needed a new webcam that wasn't nearly a decade old. However, it's not just a webcam! It's a dual set that includes a webcam and a capture card, for the purpose of streaming. The items themselves come in a nicely designed box, and include the webcam itself, the capture card, and a micro-USB cable for the capture card itself. The included program for both devices is not included physically (a little disappointing, but not really a detractor), although the link specified in the instructions doesn't work. However, it's not too hard to find through a search. The webcam itself is suitable. It is easily set up, and includes a built in microphone to use if you don't have something better. It also has a privacy shield, which is quite necessary in the modern times, since any powered device with a camera can be turned on at any point! But it works well for what it is. Keep in mind it is not ultra HD, so if you're looking for something that does a crisp 4K like someone you may watch, this isn't it. However, it's a great starter and great for casual use, fits everything I need it for. The capture card is very similar - easy to use because it's plug and play, and the included software makes capturing pretty easy. I tested it out on a few consoles - NES Classic, Switch, and PS4 mostly. SImilarly to the webcam, it gets the job done, but isn't going to give you the highest resolution available. However, its 1080P and that's almost always good enough for me. Be aware that the device can't take in HDCP protected signals, so you'll be out of luck using this with a PS3. I would definitely recommend this if streaming, game capture, or just a general use webcam is something you've been looking for. Ideally, this fits for someone new to streaming, or someone who'll have a vested interest in both devices. However, these aren't top of the line, so if you're looking for the best quality available, you'll probably invest in other things separately. However, this kit gets the job done, which is still quite useful.

I bought this right when the lockdowns started last year as I needed to do a lot of location recording for choirs. It is a great two-pack as I use other cameras run through a video switcher and then fed into the encoder as well as the induced camera. Bundling an encoder with a USB camera made the package a fantastic deal!
