Q: Will this capture device also work with a separate video cam?
A: My church is using the capture device with a Canon camcorder via hdmi. The capture device and a separate audio stream are fed into OBS.
A: Yes you can use this with Zoom and Skype. The USB cable is about 6 feet long. Yes it has a built-in microphone. The len is a wide screen format. I set up mine with my desktop & monitor system currently using it on daily conference calls. My wife uses it to conduct dance classes.
Q: Which cheap budget laptop can I use it to record Nintendo switch gameplay
A: It depends on your laptop's specs. The minimum specs the computer is recommended to be is as follows: Intel - Core i3 minimum AMD - Athlon/Ryzen 3 minimum It needs about 2-4 gigs of RAM to run. I have a PC that is a Ryzen 5 and it runs the recording software for the capture card smoothly as I record Animal Crossing or Nintendo Switch Online stuff. However, theoretically it can work on a cheaper laptop, but it won't run as well.
Q: Can this be used like a go pro
A: No.. its a stationary webcam and a separate piece connects to a gaming station to record that
Q: Can I mirror the image so videos aren't backwards?
A: The camera's native software won't allow this but it may be possible through 3rd party streaming software.
Q: Does this work with Zoom meetings
A: Yes, it works very well with Zoom and Skype.
Q: is this compatible with a Nintendo switch?
A: It works good with the switch, I use it to play Animal crossing on stream. It does take a little time to set it up with OBS.
