Best Metroidvana Since Portrait of Ruin

An interesting story, awesome soundtrack well suited to the game setting, and a decent challenge throughout make this a great title every player fond of Metroid-style games should play. Full of cleverly-hidden secrets you'll have to comb through the game world to discover. The game story unfolds in an immersive, told-through-found-artifacts way reminiscent of Metroid Prime. The game always looks fantastic on the Switch screen in tablet mode, even better than it does on a larger screen! As another reviewer noticed, using the joystick for movement can lead to a lot of accidentally triggered movements, but you can use the directional buttons to control the player character as well and largely circumvent this. If you enjoy the classics, you should definitely play this game.
