    Pretty solid controller! For my phone (iphone 14) I need to take my case off and use the rubber grips to keep the phone in place. Otherwise the phone slips a lot. Good button feel, pretty responsive.

    I really love this device. Able to play Xbox remotely and cloud, PS5 remote, Apple Arcade, Amazon Luna, Geforce Now. Just a great all-around portable gaming device.

    Backbone was ok as a controller, but not great. Trigger buttons were mushy. Ergonomics felt like Joycons and not as comfortable as a Razer Kishi. Just ok. Some will love this and it really isn’t a bad controller, just not for me. The subscription service is ridiculous as well. Controller functions like play anywhere should not be behind a pay wall. The app was meh.

    The controller itself is great and has a solid build. However, $100? Very steep for what you're getting. If you have the money to burn and dig the handheld console form factor, then sure, I recommend this. However, you could get an official XBOX or Playstation controller with an attachment that holds your phone for cheaper than this, and you'd be able to use those controllers with your console or PC too, something you can ONLY do with the Backbone controller if you are paying for their monthly Backbone+ subscription by the way.
