I have a very very slim phone case and it doesn't even fit. ALSO, they CLAIM that the controller fits with the new iPhone 14 Pro Max, IT DOES NOT. NOT EVEN WITH THE ADAPTER WITHOUT A CASE. Is it technically usable? Yes, but the phone is hanging out of the brackets which could damage your phone if it slips out.
