Thought it was a good gift but returned it because the iphone was the up to date model to fit the Backbone

I was expecting a tight control with a minimal of flexing. The product is made with cheap plastic and it does not fit an iphone pro max with the minimal apple case on it. It sits in the cradle off kilter. If there was option made with metal, that did not need a rubber ad on I would consider it. The streaming is absolutely bs at this point. Dont expect to playing games through the cloud yet.

I absolutely love the feel and design of this controller, aside from one major setback - it does not have analog triggers. Will be returning for the Razer Kishi v2 instead. Analog triggers are a more “fancy” type of trigger that have some special properties. These triggers register how far down you press them, while non-analog triggers just have one output when the trigger is pushed. They help with better acceleration control in racing games, and are required for many retro games for GameCube, as well as many modern games for both Xbox and Playstation. I got this controller to play emulated GameCube games like the Metroid Prime series as well as games like Super Mario Sunshine - both of which will not work properly with the Backbone One, since it lacks analog triggers. Metroid Prime, for example, will strafe your character if you press lightly on the left trigger, but will lock onto a target when you press firmly on the left trigger - something not possible with the Backbone One. It also doesn't have built-in haptic feedback (rumble), but instead relies on the iPhone's haptic engine - which is unfortunately rather weak for gaming and very battery-draining. Hopefully they'll implement both analog triggers and built-in haptic feedback in the next iteration. A pass-through fast charging capability would be great too! Overall - great design but with one major technical flaw that will not allow you to play an astoundingly large amount of games properly.

Broke with in a week joystick came right out and now it drifts. What a let down.

Should of done my research on what games you could play with this. There is not a whole lot of games that will work with this.

Must have case and everything off. Bought to use for traveling. Works as stated but not my favorite.

No need to take my word for it. Just grab one and experience it! I like the recording features and screenshot buttons that goes with it.

I’m sure this could be fun but cannot be used with a phone case so didn’t work for my 10 year old.

This is exactly what my son asked for. Unfortunately, he did receive two of these so I will by returning the one I bought.

It’s a controller for your phone, it does well but it’s no Xbox controller.. overall happy with purchase

Was cool the first 2 months but then Broke after 3 honestly a complete waste

Backbone itself is nice for travel, but all comes down to cloud gaming and app games.
