Good on its own. Great with subscriptions

No more touch screen games to smudge up my phone. The buttons are responsive and fluid to the movement of the character of any game I play. Obviously I need to invest in getting free or paid gaming apps on my phone to better utilize the device. However, if I have a cloud gaming subscriptions service like Xbox or Stadia, I save important space on my phone while still playing the latest games on the go. The product comes with trials to all the current subscriptions, so I'm ok for now. If you don't want to worry about the subscriptions, the BackBone One can be used as a controller peripheral for the Remote play feature on the Xbox or Playstation. The product comes equipped with a lightning cable charge port so as to charge the phone while attached, or to have a wired connection to any tablet or laptop that has USB ports. The Backbone app serves as a store hub for all games of all platforms. Once you pick a game it takes you to the appropriate app store to buy or download and play. There is a paid service that offers in-game items and perks, but personally I don't think it's worth it. Definitely a good product for the travelling gamer (with subscriptions).

Unless you have good wifi in your house I would not recommend this device because the performance of streaming games is severely dependent on wifi.
