Expensive but great for mobile gamers
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Phones are more powerful than ever making a device like the backbone a worthy competitor pricewise to handhelds like the switch and steamdeck. For anyone who has a router good enough for streaming games, retro gamers, or anyone into competitive mobile gaming this is the perfect device. As someone with limited funds and often on the road it makes for the perfect investment as when my phone finally breaks the next will work flawlessly with the device. My only two complaints is i wish the device was placed higher than the controls (like a 3ds) as you have to crank your neck to play games and the price is steep for a non branded controller. Folding phones may relieve these issues. Its a shame it doesn't extend to support most tablets.

So far so good, but has some flaws
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.When I saw the rising prices of consoles like the steam deck I decided to get this since my galaxy s23 is basically the more expensive version of the Razer Edge 5g. I have tested this out on a couple of retro emulators and I was excited it worked flawlessly! My Xbox one pc controller had some issues registering the L button and sometimes it wouldn't "continue" by pressing A. So this fixed that problem. Diablo Immortal had some buttons not working on the backbone controller on the title screen but I used my finger to continue and once in game all the buttons worked. My only complaint is that star wars battlefront is so laggy on gamepass. At first I thought backbone had a stick drift but its just the game. I have the best internet and cellphone service in my area. It still lagged! Im gonna try playing awhile to see if I can figure out when the servers aren't busy or maybe try figuring out how to play with the lag. This is why I dropped a star. Overall would recommend! Great buy!
