Great product. The latest version allows me to keep my iPhone case on and attach the backbone. Tons of gaming options with XBox, Steamlink, Delta, etc… I would recommend to any gamer that wants to game on the go.

This is an amazing product, you can easily play any game with your phone, saves a lot of time, space, can take it anywhere!

I picked up the Backbone Gen 2 as a compromise for the Steam Deck since im currently going through older games on my backlog (Gameboy and PSP. Playing through RetroArch). The controller is built well and not very flimsy from what i noticed. Triggers are weird but kind of nice. Its a controller for your phone so theyre short and not of the quality of a PS or XBOX. Sticks are fine, DPad is fine, DPad feels kind of stiff to me, and the Face Buttons feel slightly less stiff as the DPad. Overall the controller is good and the headphone jack + usb-c port to charge your phone while the controller is plugged in is great. Biggest downside is having to download an app but thats really not that bad either.

This works well with my s25 ultra. It is hit or miss on when it works with my slim samsung case, but i have no issues using caseless. controls are similar to anyxbox or ps5 controler. using it to play cod mobile is awesome. definitely wish i had bought a lot sooner.

Functional (usually) and makes gaming on my phone more convenient. However, I didn’t realize it was not designed to support my phone case, even with the adapters removed. So now I either have to buy a smaller case or repeatedly remove my current case whenever I want to play. Also it’s prone to randomly switching my phone to portrait mode when inserting a USB-C cable into the passthrough charging port.

This is my 3rd Backbone and you most assuredly will need the warranty. The unit itself works good but the trigger buttons do wear out after some time. That has been the same issue with the other units, so hopefully these newer units last longer.

It was a good controller, didnt work for the game that i wanted but the games that i did play worked perfectly fine with this .

Works great with the iPhone 15 Pro Max [you'll need to swap the plastic side guards for the bigger phone, which was a bit of an annoyance... hence the star off. Joysticks feel good, if a bit tight... but I REALLY like how tight the buttons feel on this thing. So much so I really kinda wish I could get a PS controller for my PC with the same feel [they almost have a tactile mechanical feel, which I love] So far it's been mostly Dead Cells on my phone... and for a portable gaming device, it works. I haven't used this with my PS5 at all, mostly because I don't think FFXIV would go over well on a mobile phone, but as a standalone device for new phones that have almost as much power as the OG M1 mac? Not too shabby ^^

Only reason this isn't 5 star is the joystick, specifically the left one are kind of trashy and for 105 dollars, they should be much better. Other than the sticks I absolutely love this thing. I really thought it would be a once in a great while type of thing but I use it more often than not. It's simple, clean, and the buttons feel amazing. I do wish it had more. I don't use a turbo button that often but that wouldve been nice. Also a pair of remappable buttons would have also been nice, but honestly it's the one controller where I'm forgiving of it besides the Nintendo switch pro controller. I do feel like the price is steep (also like the Nintendo switch pro) but I somehow have no issue with it if it lasts and keeps doing a great job.

Pros: Works perfectly with the included adapters with my Iphone 15 pro max with the Dbrand ghost case. Fits really well in hands and comfortable. Cons: no phone cooler or space for a MagSafe one.
