very excellent controller for any phone! Works plug and play with nifty features! can even use with most phone cases

I can't even lie....I really bought this so that I could play Stardew Valley on my phone easily. I certainly have played other games and it works like a charm. Sometimes it gets disconnected but I think that's more because my cellphone needed updating. Once I updated my phone, I didn't have connection issues anymore.

Bought for my son, seemed easy to set up but he doesn’t really use it.

This thing is pretty awesome. I had to knock off one star because it didn't work with the case that I had on my phone when I bought the Backbone. My clear Otterrbox Symmetry case was too thick where the USB-C plug of the Backbone plugs into the phone (iPhone 15 Pro), so it would not connect to the phone at all. It seemed like it was just shy of making the connection. I ended up having to buy another case for my phone (3 in less than a month) to be able to make it work. Thankfully, I had just bought a lightning version of the Backbone for my son's iPhone 12 mini one day before buying mine, and it worked great with the case he had on his (JETech Magnetic Case bought on Amazon), so I just bought one of those cases and now the backbone works as advertised. If I had one suggestion for Backbone, it's to make the USB-C plug protrude a sixteenth of an inch or so farther so than it can work with thicker cases. That being said, the improvement they made from Gen 1 to Gen 2 of adding the included swappable magnetic adapters to allow for phone with cases on in the first place was my deciding factor in buying this controller. The Gen 1 Backbone not supporting a phone with its case on was a deal breaker for me. Seriously, who wants to take their case off every time they want to play some games more conveniently? It kind of defeats the purpose. So, I'm glad they addressed it, but they do need to address the small flaw I mentioned above for Gen 3. Overall, it is a very good product, and I would recommend it.

I needed something to keep me occupied on a work trip for a week at a time without lugging around a console so I gave the backbone a try. It was great enough to play on for Call of Duty Mobile that I even bought Xbox game pass ultimate to play Xbox games on my phone even though I don't even have an Xbox. Pretty awesome.

This is a better improvement on gen 1 first not having to take off the case from your phone to use it is the best I use slim case my magbak case to my mous case that thicker work with it on have to take the adaptors off but it fits and it don't feel like im going to break it it comes with adaptors for all the iPhone 15 models and there easy to install them on the controller the buttons are improved too no more gloss feeling a matte feel on it guess a better feel and help with game play

Love the backbone os and convenience. Lack of hall effect triggers is a letdown in this price point though.

I got this as a Christmas gift for my husband to play CoD from his Samsung phone. It's really responsive and adapts to a lot of other games. He really loves not having to use the on screen controls as much and it's more natural to play with the backbone controller. This is a great gift for any on the go gamer.

This backbone is amazing, with one small exception. I use the otterbox defender case on my phones and if they allowed the backbone to open just another 1/4 inch, it would work with the case on it. I use s short cable to attach the backbone to my phone on a small stand so i don't have to take the case off to play. Other than that, this is well worth the purchase to play with much better control than using the on screen buttons for call of duty mobile.

Connects well with my phone and allows me to play games I wouldn't want to without a controller.
