It had too many issues like communicating with my Xbox ONE S console, charging port works on some Android devices, case would not fit all phes too tight fit. Need minimum and maximum dimensions so people know exactly what they are ordering

The USB-C Backbone Controller has completely transformed my mobile gaming experience. It’s super easy to use—just plug it into my phone, and I’m ready to play with no setup hassle or need for charging. The controller feels sturdy and comfortable in my hands, with responsive buttons and smooth triggers that make gaming feel more like console play. I love the seamless connection and lack of input lag, which really improves my gameplay, especially for fast-paced action. The Backbone app is also a nice touch, letting me quickly access my games and even record gameplay. Overall, it’s a must-have for anyone serious about mobile gaming!

The Backbone One is a game-changer for cloud gaming on my iPhone. Setup is effortless, and it works flawlessly with Xbox Game Pass, making gaming on the go super convenient. The controller feels great in hand—high quality, responsive, and comfortable for extended play. I didn’t grab the case, but I’m seriously considering it because this is too good to risk tossing unprotected in my bag. If you game on your phone, this is a must-have.

I bought this controller for mobile gaming. So far my experience with the controller has been positive. All buttons and joysticks work as intended and are fairly smooth. The buttons do make a louder clicking noise when pressed, but doesn’t bother me. I would recommend if you like playing games on your phone. I have no issues using the controller on my iPhone 16

This controller has crazy fast response times, it's perfect for my Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. I can't believe how much better it is than my old one. Xbox remote play on my phone is so smooth now, no lag at all. It feels like I'm playing on a console. Seriously, if you're looking for a controller for your phone, get this one!

This is the best phone controller I have used in terms of ergonomics. It's comfortable to use and I like the buttons. They aren't too loud. My big issue with this controller is the backbone button, it feels like it should be a menu/hotkey button for some of the games you wanna play (emulation) and instead it does nothing but take you to the dumb app that wants to charge you for what?....You can't even map it but I also didn't look on youtube/reddit to see if there is a workaround for this. If you are buying this to run some xbox games or mobile games cool. Emulation? I would just go for a gamesir or maybe the razer controller.

It’s neat. I mostly use it for Minecraft and Gamepass but it’s nice to handle and works well for these games. Don’t expect it to be too portable. Works with those apps too, you know the ones, the retro ones. I wouldn’t pay $99 for it but I’m content with $60

Great way to get a controller for your iphone. The 2nd generation allows to use it with a number if cases (check their website). Can be used with the ZAG4 without having to remove the case. The controls and button are responsive. The backbone app is not needed for the controller to work.

This works great for handheld gaming on your phone. Works fairly well for Xbox mobile gaming if you have a robust data connection. PlayStation seems technically supported by backbone but the PlayStation side doesn't really work at all. Mobile gaming -- through Netflix or Google Play -- works great. Currently enjoying Call of Duty Mobile and a fighter pilot game Metalstorm. The version I got was Call of Duty branded, but the hardware has no theming (a plus). The box has CoD branding and you get a few freebies. Moral of the story is buy whichever version is cheaper or appeals to your aesthetics.

Thumbsticks are terrible. Feel more like D-pads. It does work great for streaming games from my Xbox Series X. I would never play first person shooters though. Thumbsticks just aren't responsive enough. Aside from thumbsticks, the overall build quality is good. Face buttons have a nice click. Triggers are okay too.

Decent Controller, but very loud

I was able to get this controller at a deep discount ($50), but if it was any more in peice, i would probably skip it. The controller is decently comfortable, and its pretty portable. I also like that i can use this with a (thin) case on my iPhone 15 Pro Max, but man are the buttons SUPER clicky. Its like having Gateron Blues on a controller. Some people like the mechanical clicks (and normally i do at home), but when i am out and about in public, i cant help but feel a little self-conscious about how loud this controller is. For example, when im at a hospital and needing to spend a whole day there, most waiting areas are pretty quiet. This controller makes sure that i announce to everyone in the room that im playing games and trying real hard. Honestly, it makes me play worse cause im trying to press the buttons so frequently. If i were in a loud area its not noticible, but unfortunately everywhere i have been using it in public is pretty quiet. There are some mods out there that make it quieter (like replacing the internal membrane with a rubber membrane from a Gameboy Color), but that can lead to some issues with button presses. Backbone really needs to make a model with quiet buttons, because i know there are a large number of people who buy this for public use and hate how loud it is (hence why people are making mods to make it quieter).
