Simply Amaze by My P1S
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm thrilled with my Bambu Lab P1S printer and highly recommend it, especially for beginners! It handles most printing needs beautifully. While there's been some discussion in the 3D printing community regarding Bambu's announcement about restricting third-party software, it's important to note that this currently only affects the X series printers, not the P or A series (at least for now). That said, the Bambu slicer is quite capable and produces excellent results. The included 0.4mm nozzle is a great all-around option, and I've even had fantastic quality with a 0.6mm nozzle. Any issues I've encountered have been user-related – like forgetting to empty the poop chute (lesson learned!). Setup was incredibly easy; it was practically plug-and-play. Within 35 minutes of unboxing, I had updated the firmware, calibrated the printer, and was printing a Benchy. Spare parts are affordable, and the expandability to four AMS units is invaluable. I actually added another AMS to enable 8-color printing. I've been using PLA and PETG with no problems so far. Odor hasn't been an issue for me (my printer is in my office near a window), though I know some materials like ABS and ASA can produce stronger smells. The P1S can be a little noisy during calibration, but the printing noise itself is more like manageable white noise. The network connectivity is a fantastic feature. I can control the printer from my phone or tablet, so a PC isn't always necessary. The built-in camera is 720p, which is decent, but I've supplemented it with a Ring camera for a better view. The possibilities with the P1S (or any Bambu Lab printer) are truly endless! Like any piece of equipment, regular maintenance is key. I've put about 1200 hours on mine, and it's still going strong. One tip: I've found that plastic filament spools work best with the AMS system. Cardboard spools can sometimes slip, causing feeding issues and print errors.

Fantastic printer from beginning to advanced
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m so impressed with this printer! I was a bit nervous about using a 3D printer at first, but after getting my P1S, I was thrilled to discover that Bambu Labs makes it incredibly easy to use. The prints are also incredibly accurate and detailed. If you’re planning to stick with PLA, the A1 and A1 mini are great options. But if you’re interested in using other filaments like ABS or ASA, I highly recommend this printer. Setting up and printing took me about 20 minutes. I also had my first experience with Bambu Labs when the SD card that came with the printer started failing. Their tech support was super responsive and helpful. They quickly resolved my issue. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to buy my printer from Best Buy because they weren’t carrying them at the time. I would have loved the option get a protection plan. There are so many parts to this printer that I’d love to have that extra peace of mind.

Incredible upgrade
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded from an Ender 5 Pro and the difference is simply amazing. In speed, calibration, and print quality, the difference is night and day. If you like to tinker with adjustments and settings, this may not be for you. But if you like ease of use, spot on calibration and a product that will work straight out of the box, this is the one for you. Multi-color printing is a game-changer. The Black Friday deal is a fantastic bargain. If you're on the fence, jump off and push that Purchase Now button, you won't regret it.

Best out of box experience
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using the Bambu Lab P1S with the AMS for a few months now, and I’m seriously impressed. Setup was quick—within an hour I was up and running. The print quality out of the box is excellent, and the speed is something else entirely. The AMS system is a huge plus. I’ve done several multi-color prints without needing to babysit the machine. It handles filament changes smoothly and has made complex prints so much easier. Noise-wise, it’s not silent—especially during calibration—but during actual printing it’s surprisingly tolerable. I keep it in my home office and it doesn’t bother me while I work. If you want a fast, reliable printer with great multi-material support, the P1S with AMS is absolutely worth it.

3 days and $200.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have limited experience with 3D printing and like any hobby it can slowly drain your bank account. I absolutely love this printer and the experience of learning how to use it. This product prints in all the filament types that I couldn't print with before. It prints extremely well and very fast, but still is an exercise in patience. Overall, I love this product and the 3D printing experience. On the bad side, I bought this printer from Best Buy and 17 days later they dropped the price $200. I contacted me about this and they told me to kick rocks. They said it in a very pleasant way, but the message was clear and I was merely dismissed. I'll remember this for a while. I'll definitely look elsewhere for my larger purchases. I'm not happy about this at all.

Great Printer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have wanted to do 3D printing for a long time but just didn't do it until now. I looked around and after looking at the best I could get for a bargain, I chose this as my first printer, and I am thrilled with it. It was easy to set up, and I had started my 1st project within an hour. I have talked to others who do printing, and they said they wished they had started with a printer like this. I am hooked!!

Amazing P1S. Glad I bought BambuLab
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start by saying this printer is absolutely amazing—truly the Apple equivalent in the world of 3D printing. Over the past two weeks, I’ve made countless prints, and the experience has been nothing short of outstanding. Follow the golden rule: dry your filaments before printing, and you’ll be amazed at the quality this machine delivers. The AMS system makes printing life so much easier, though I do wish there was an option to add an extra spool without having to purchase another full 4-spool AMS unit. An upgrade option for heated storage would also be a fantastic addition. I understand that such upgrades would cost more, but you can always use a standalone dryer and an external spool as a practical workaround. I purchased mine during a sale at Best Buy, and I didn’t need to buy an extended warranty since my Bestbuy Total Tech membership covers it for the next two years. Overall, a very happy customer.

Best machine yet for me!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned several other 3d printers over a period of 4 years. This unit is BY FAR the best I have ever used. It arrived neatly packed and about 2 hours later I was printing my first test print. It has worked flawlessly for the two weeks I have used it almost continually. I print mostly with ABS, PLA and ASA. All that said, if you are new to 3d printing, there will be a learning curve. This isn't plug and play, regardless of whose machine you buy. The good news is that Bambu has a huge collection of written documents, videos and a very active user group. They also host a depository of models that you can download as well as contribute your own designs to.

The right one
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The P1S is a great printer. I have had zero issues printing PLA and PETG from multiple brands and multiple types. This is my second printer, also using an A1 and picked this up for added capacity and printing filaments that play nicer when using an enclosure. Also very happy with CoreXY as an alternative to bed slingers.

Best printer for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Bambu Lab P1S with the Automatic Material System (AMS) is a highly capable enclosed CoreXY 3D printer that delivers an exceptional balance of speed, reliability, and multi-material printing capability, making it one of the most impressive consumer-grade printers available. From the outset, the P1S with AMS impressed me with its ability to produce consistent, high-quality prints with minimal user intervention. The printer’s fully enclosed design, combined with active chamber heating, provides a stable thermal environment that significantly reduces common issues such as warping, layer splitting, and inconsistent extrusion when printing engineering-grade materials like PETG, ABS, and ASA. In my experience, this enclosure has been instrumental in achieving reliable results with materials that are notoriously challenging on open-frame printers. The inclusion of the AMS unit is a standout feature that elevates the P1S beyond typical single-extruder printers. The ability to seamlessly switch between four spools without manual intervention enables complex, multi-color, or multi-material prints that were previously impractical on a single-extruder system. The filament drying capabilities of the AMS—where each individual spool bay maintains controlled humidity levels—have proven effective at preserving filament quality over extended periods. I have successfully completed multi-week print campaigns using nylon and carbon-fiber-filled materials stored in the AMS without noticeable degradation due to moisture absorption, a problem that frequently plagued my previous printers. The printer’s hardware and software ecosystem further enhances its usability. The combination of the CoreXY motion system, high-flow hotend, and the Bambu Studio slicer results in print speeds that frequently exceed 200–300 mm/s without compromising surface quality. The automatic bed leveling, vibration compensation, and input shaping features operate quietly and effectively, allowing for fast prints with minimal artifacts. In my hands, the printer has demonstrated a high success rate—often exceeding 95% for complex models—requiring little more than starting the print and removing the completed part. However, there are some limitations to consider. The AMS unit, while innovative, introduces certain operational constraints. The added mass of the AMS frame and filament transport tubes results in a slight reduction in maximum achievable print speeds compared to a standalone P1S, particularly for rapid, single-material prints. Additionally, the system’s reliance on PTFE tubes to transport filament from the AMS to the print head can lead to occasional filament jams or retraction inconsistencies, particularly with highly abrasive materials such as carbon-fiber-filled nylon. These issues, while infrequent, require manual intervention to clear and can disrupt longer print jobs. Proper maintenance—such as regular inspection and replacement of the PTFE tubes—is essential to mitigate these challenges. Other practical considerations include the printer’s relatively high power consumption due to the enclosure and heated chamber, as well as the non-trivial amount of desk space required when the AMS is fully assembled. While the AMS’s filament drying functionality is valuable, it does not fully replace a dedicated filament dryer for users working with extremely moisture-sensitive materials that require prolonged preconditioning. Despite these minor drawbacks, the Bambu Lab P1S with AMS delivers an experience that is difficult to match in its price range. The combination of automated multi-material printing, reliable high-speed performance, and an intuitive software workflow has fundamentally improved my ability to produce functional, multi-material prototypes and end-use parts. The printer’s capacity to handle a wide range of materials—while maintaining them in a dry state—has eliminated many of the logistical challenges associated with multi-material workflows, allowing me to focus on design and output rather than constant filament management. In summary, the Bambu Lab P1S with AMS is a powerful and versatile 3D printing solution that excels in delivering production-ready results across a broad spectrum of materials and applications. Its strengths—particularly the seamless integration of multi-material printing with reliable drying capabilities—far outweigh the manageable limitations of the AMS system. For anyone requiring consistent, high-quality output with multiple filaments, whether for prototyping, small-batch production, or multi-color modeling, the P1S with AMS represents a significant advancement in desktop 3D printing capability.
