    Installers were quick, friendly, and knowledgeable! Cared more about how the install looked than I did, but I’m glad about that. TV looks and works great, and required zero calibration on my part

    just have say our salesman was absolutely amazing!!!! he went over and above to help with products purchased and had a positive attitude the whole time. as a business owner this is someone i would put in mangmment. best experience ever.

    I ordered the Premium Mounting TV service along with a new 75" television. I appreciated the ease of scheduling the service appointment online. I think the scheduling interface was well designed. Unfortunately for me, it was downhill from there. I received a confirmation email a few days before my appointment informing me that I would receive a confirmation phone call on the day prior to my appointment. I never received a call the day before, which is not a big deal but was a harbinger for things to come. On the day of my appointment, towards the end of my 4 hour appointment window, I received a call from my installer telling me he was 5 minutes away. When they arrived in an unmarked work van, I realized that they had sent a third party subcontractor rather than Geek Squad employees. I wanted them to mount the TV above our fireplace using a pull-down TV mount. I also inquired if they would be able to install a sound bar (which wasn’t in the original order). After bringing the TV in, they made a couple comments that had me questioning their competence such as "Oh this is gonna be heavy" and "get a load of how fancy this is” [referring to the TV mount]. They read the TV mount instructions for about 20 minutes, and we even showed them an installation instruction video on YouTube. They gave up after a few more minutes. Nothing had been installed. They said they would have to look up the installation instructions online and would call Best Buy to place a new work order and reschedule for another day. We had to ask them to at least plug in the TV to make sure it turned on, but they left the TV inside the box. They then left. After not hearing anything from anyone for a day, I looked on the Best Buy website for my order status. The website noted that the TV mounting service was “Completed.” So I called customer service and explained the situation. They confirmed the service had been marked completed by the agent and that there were no notes from the agent to explain. She rescheduled the mounting service in another 2 weeks. After hanging up, I noticed that the 15 day return window had already started since the TV had been delivered (but not set up at all). Waiting another 2 weeks for set up and mounting would bring me to the end of the return window. I called customer service again to reschedule to an earlier appointment date. I was told that 2 weeks was the earliest available date and they could not reschedule it any earlier. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was placed on hold for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, I agreed to have the supervisor call me back within 24 hours. After not hearing anything for 24 hours, I called customer service again. I requested a refund for the mounting service which had not been completed and cancelled the rescheduled appointment. The representative issued me a credit for the price of the mounting service (but not the sales tax that I had already paid) and said he would open a case. We ended up mounting the TV ourselves. If I had known they would send a subcontractor, I would not have ordered the service. It’s been 10 days since I last spoke to customer service, and I’ve received my money back for the subtotal of the mounting service but not the sales tax. TL;DR If you get a Geek Squad employee for the TV mounting you should be okay. IF they send a third party subcontractor, then good luck because you will likely need it.
