First thing's first, if you haven't played Batman: Arkham Asylum then I recommend doing so. It hints back to what happened there often. If you haven't played it then you'll be sitting there looking pretty confused when you see Joker, Sharpe, and probably other things/people that I can't think of off the top of my head. Now look man, this game is a game of the year edition for a reason, all those 10 of 10's and 5 out've 5's you're seeing on the cover aren't make believe, this game is the real deal. Whether you're the world's largest batman fan or you've never even heard of him(which is unlikely) is irrelevant, this game is one of if not the best RPG games I've ever played. The gadget's you can use are awesome(there is quite a bit of them), the fighting is just flat out ridiculous, it put's in just the right amount of stealth to where you still get the thrill of stealth take downs but without over doing it to the point that it gets boring, tons of side-missions(optional), unfortunately no killer croc or scarecrow(atleast not that I know of), but there are still a good number of villains. The ending to the riddler's challenge in Arkham Asylum was just nonsense to me, they gave him a larger and better role in Arkham City. The thing that separates the regular B:A.C. from the game of the year edition to me was the fact that it brought in Robin and Nightwing. Unfortunately they aren't playable in the campaign mode, but you can use them in Riddler's Revenge(the challenge mode). I think Catwoman comes with the regular B:A.C. but you might want to double check that. Another thing as far as the challenge mode goes is you can use countless other costumes for Batman, Catwoman, Robin, and Nightwing( You can't use the other batman costumes in story mode until the main story is complete). The ending left me with a confused look on my face, but Harley Quinn's revenge made up for it. On challenging gameplay, I rated it a 4, but if I could I would give it a 4.5. Don't misunderstand me, it is a challenging game, it WILL make you think. The hand-2-hand could be a little bit more challenging in the campaign mode, but it get's pretty tough in Riddler's Challenge's. So if you just want to test yourself against a mosh pit of opponents then you can, just not so much in the story mode.

This game is truly 10/10. I picked it up late but for the price of $20 and all content, I couldn't resist. This game made me pre-order one of the most anticipated releases of 2015: Arkham Knight. Play this game.

Dont even want to start saying all the positive because we would be here for a while, Amazing start... Consistent action packed middle, Shocking end. Mix of villains was perfect and loved the new gameplay. Catwomen side story was perfect for the game to not get boring. i dont normally say a game is perfect but this game is so darn close. 4.9 of 5 because im stubborn.... go buy this game especially at this price.

Wow! Nice open map to wonder as you wish. Cool quests, side missions, bonus content, cinematics, etc. Awesome Bat gadgets and battle moves although memorizing them all is a bit challenging. Feel like I need to play it again after completion so I can hone my battle skills to better emulate the Dark Knight.

I loved the story of this game. There are many things to do in this game such as the challenges and riddler trophies in addition to the story. So it provides for many hours of excitement, Definitely worth buying, the story fits the game great. It can be challenging at times, but you will figure it out.

Best Comic Hero game ever, the total package!

I know the original game came out 6 months previous and got great reviews, but I recently decided it was time to pick it up and this version was coming out with all the DLC in one total package. This is an absolutely fantastic game, the best "licensed" game made to date, and generally a thrilling game that is like playing through a long timeline of gritty Batman comics. I am typically a Marvel guy, but to-date noone has put out a comic hero based game this well written and acted. The game features a huge map, spot on gameplay, and a huge variety of challenges. Do yourself a favor - Buy this Game!

    Hours of Entertainment & Challenge!

I got this game after playing through "Batman, Arkham Asylum". This game has a great storyline - it's almost like watching a movie and you are inside controlling Batman. The game is full of all of the familiar DC Comics characters and challenging bosses. This is one of the few games that I only had to take a cursory glance at the controller function buttons, and go to town without having to go online to "cheat" my way through certain puzzles or scenes. It is intuitive and can offer hints #an option in the setup# if you are killed. The game is able to render 3D, but I can't comment on it as I don't have the special glasses needed. BTW, if you WANT to get the 3D glasses, don't expect the cheap ones used in movies to work. There are plenty of thugs to battle and tons of upgrades. Batman has a ton of gadgets to help him throughout the game. I'm 57 years old and addicted to this series - WB and Rocksteady have done a great job at bringing a decades old character to life in a game that will give you hours of amazing play. As a retired teacher, I would say that I would NOT recommend it for young children as there is some mature material throughout the game, but for teens on up, I think it's OK. I like the fact that when Batman has fights with the criminals, he never kills them - only knocks them out. Therefore, I rated it as "family friendly" with this caveat.
