The epic conclusion, Batman: Arkham Knight begins one year after the events of Arkham City, the game's main storyline follows Batman as he confronts the Scarecrow, who has launched an attack on Gotham City, causing a city-wide evacuation. Like the previous Arkham games, Arkham Knight is presented from the third-person perspective with a primary focus on Batman's combat and stealth abilities, detective skills, and gadgets that can be used in both combat and exploration. The game also introduces an amazing and long-awaited feature, this being the Batmobile as a playable vehicle, which can be used for transportation or for combat; giving the player an addition which adds to the experience of truly being The Batman in this open-world environment of Gotham City. The game expands Batman's arsenal of gadgets and combat attacks and offers a more open world structure, allowing the player to complete side missions away from the primary storyline, without being a repetitive task, but rather being a fun and exciting one that the player enjoys doing. It's gameplay is both, challenging and engaging as the enemies have different moves and fighting styles that put's the player's ability (the character of Batman) to the test of the Dark Knight's skills and abilities in combat. The other new tactic is instant team-up takedowns, available when Batman is joined by playable buddies like Robin and Catwoman. You can switch to them at any time during fights and they each have their own individual move sets that feel just different enough from the Bat to keep things interesting. Batman's final and most persistent partner-in-takedowns is the Batmobile, which can be summoned at almost any time with a button press. (You'll even drop directly into the cockpit if you summon it while in midair.) The most notable non-feature of Arkham Knight is in the way it refuses to give you all the answers. It gives you the tools to pretend to be Batman and then trusts that you'll be able to make your way. When you're trapped with a monologuing enemy, Arkham Knight doesn't remind you that you can remotely blast enemies with the Batmobile; it waits patiently for you to come to it on your own. The feeling of having to intellectually engage with your environment and abilities makes for the most satisfying simulation of Batman yet. Arkham Knight is epic and grand in terms of scale including it's character and action driven story, featuring addictive gameplay, putting you in the mind of the Dark Knight and taking you on a never-ending roller coaster of mystery, action, and excitement, being both impactful and smart as we fill the shoes of Batman and go along this journey for one last time. It's presented in a visually breath-taking experience with no flaws, presenting an improvement and fluidity in it's combat system with powerful performances from Kevin Conroy as Batman and the supporting cast (I'm purposely avoiding talking about the story, which is packed with so many stellar, memorable moments and reaches an unbelievably dark conclusion). Rocksteady's finale to the Arkham trilogy ends on a high-note, just as we've seen from Nolan's trilogy of the Dark Knight. For those big or curious on the story, like a movie it's best enjoyed by just letting the narrative take you on the journey rather than trying to guess the ending. That being said, Arkham Knight is a potent and masterfully crafted game that concludes the Dark Knight's journey in spectacular fashion that the player will keep coming back and revisiting the story or in fact, epic finale. This game is a must-buy for both Batman and non-Batman fans alike who own a PS4 system. Hope this helps! I'm awarding Arkham Knight a 5 out of 5.

Was sent the Greatest hits version and not regular version

I went to my local BestBuy to pickup this game that was on sale. It was the last copy it had in stock and I purchased it. Unfortunately I did not check the packaging on the game carefully enough before I left the store. I had to return to BB because the game is not in the case. Apparently the side of the case plastic was slit open and the game was pulled out. I was fortunate (I guess) I looked at the game and noticed it within 25 minutes after I got home. I did not rip the plastic off, I just peeped through the narrow opening and saw that the game was not in there. I was upset that I did not catch it earlier but was happy that I looked into it because I usually leave games in their plastic until I'm ready to play them. PS4 games are susceptible to this happening because how it is packaged (unless it's a steelbook version or have the cover sleeve over the case). It also makes me think of how easy it is to possibly claim an used game as new if there is little notice of the wear on the disc. Anyway just be careful and always look closely. Since there was no game, I can't review the game itself.

Not as great as the previous games in the series, but still very enjoyable

It was a decent game although I wouldn't rate it as the better of the Batman games.

Complicated review, even completely discounting the DLC rip-off and the PC fiasco, because I hated the Batmobile so much. Only considering the PS4 game, it was a good but frustrating game. The graphics, voice acting, Batman combat, variety of things to do and open world were all great! BUT THE BATMOBILE WAS HORRIBLE. I REALLY WISH IT WAS IN THE GAME AND *REALLY* WISH IT WASN'T FORCED IN BOTH THE RIDDLER AND MAIN QUESTS. It was needed in like 30-40% of the game, which sucked. I really hated nearly everything about it and the it took a 9.5 to a 6, sadly.

Since I bought it as a gift, I don't know what it's like, but I've heard it is good.

Graphics are awesome, gameplay is great, possibilities were there, but boss fights suck, batmobile should have been a optional way to have fun, but it feels forced after a while, combat improved a lot, they fixed what happened when enemy was on the ground and you could not hit him and had to crouch to finish, leaving you exposed to other enemies. Story is cool, i wish you could use other characters, at least in combat challenges, in that aspect the game fell short, arkham city is better in that aspect.

Game has awful glitches/bugs right now. This game is so bad steam is no longer selling it

Ok game good for beat em up button smashing, horrible ending.

This was the first game in the arkham series that I have played and I enjoyed it much more than I imagined. The graphics were superb, the storytelling was amazing. It was the first game I truly enjoyed watching and playing. It felt like I was in the game. My only complaint is the Riddler missions. In order to achieve full completion, you need to find 250 trophies scattered all around Gotham. It would be difficult to do without a walkthrough and still very tedious with one.

Yeah, I would play this but mainly got it for my nephews. They like it.

Fun game that went overboard with the batmobile. Needs more combat.

I'm a huge fan of the Arkham series. The first one to hit PS4 met every expectation and delivered! The story is incredible and gets you hooked right away. The side missions are just as interesting and extend the gameplay time a considerable amount. Great voice acting, story, graphics, and control.
