Great game - just not the best in the series

Asylum was great, City was a masterpiece, and Origins (despite not being developed by Rocksteady) was a worthy entry despite it's lack of innovation. So, like every other Arkham fan, I was excited when the original developers came back to put a cap on their Batman series. And I was left kind of disappointed. For as much flak as Origins gets for being "more of the same", I felt that Arkham Knight didn't add much to the formula other than the upgrade in graphics and the Batmobile. And the Batmobile ended up being my least favorite thing about this game. Don't get me wrong - the combat is as good as any game in the series (and the tag team sequences are cooler than I thought they would be), and traversing the skies via grapnel gun and gliding still feels great - but the Batmobile sequences are underwhelming and feel tacked on. And some, in my opinion, are just plain un-fun. Overall, I still enjoyed this game. I would recommend this to a fan of the series. Just understand that while you may love the bulk of the game, you will probably have a love/hate relationship with Batman's iconic ride.
