3 STARS!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well it was easy to install but should have included step-by-step instructions with pictures and should have included power extension cable for those who dont wanna hot wire there car to reverse signal on there tail lights. image is not perfect but visible check the frame rate with other gps before purchasing so my 3 starts and only because of price a little expensive for a camera and transmitter, installation could have been better (check youtube) and last cause of the image its better on daylight then at nigh time. give it a try buy it install it (dont pay geek squad) check it out see what you think.

Easy on line transaction and shipping. Best Buy !
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best part was the price. It was litterally half of the original, two years ago. It is a very nice unit that didn't take that long to install and the wireless connection was instant. The camera view is crystal clear and I really like that you can adjust the parking lines.

ok backup camera
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.very easy to hook up and install - but the quality of the camera for 186 dollars is very poor -- the resolution is so bad you can not make out the objects that you are looking at on the screen -- to connect or hook up a trailer you must go back and see where the tong is because in the picture is so blurry you cant tell what you looking at

Image not clear, doesn't support traffic
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use a GTM-60 Traffic receiver but this camera uses a different plug which doesn't support traffic. Support says that they want you to use the Smart Link app for traffic but I am having problems keeping connected to the Bluetooth. Plus, since the camera uses ambient light or the light from the license plate lamp, the image is not very clear and objects are hard to see.

Works perfectly, installed flawlessly
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The camera works perfectly. It syncs with the garmin lmt 2589 and gives a clear quality picture night or day. The installation was only $50 and geek squad did a flawless and quick job! The worker showed me before what he would do and went through everything with me after it was done. My fiancee is loving her new back up camera!

Nice idea, but poor video quality, delay in video
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Display quality of video is terrible, can't tell even tell what objects are until very close to them. Video is delayed. If I'm backing up and then come to complete stop, the display still shows the truck backing for another second or so. If I didn't already splice into the reverse wiring on brand new vehicle I would return this system. I have it paired with a Garmin nuviCam GPS/dashcam combo.

A waste of money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The camera fails to come on about half the time. I called Garmin, and talked to a support person who had absolutely no knowledge of the product. It was suggested that I use a relay to turn on the camera, since my car has a CanBus system. I asked what relay, and she didn't know. So after a lot of personal research, I wired in a relay, and the camera still fails half the time. I even took it to an install "professional" to have the install checked. The install was performed perfectly. The Garmin support person promised a follow up Email, or a call from a specialist for this product. That didn't happen. Don't waste your money.

Wireless parking sensor
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My Porsche GT4 didn't come with backup sensor (not an option for the track/race car). This backup camera is elegant solution when combo with the Garmin GPS.

Poor Camera Image
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, installation was straight forward and as explained in the videos. Worked first time. However, once I saw the image quality I was very disappointed. Screen resolution is low and contrast is lower. Frame rate appears to be 15FPS, OK but not great. The ability to adjust to high light / low light conditions is (IMHO) poor.

Needs contrast control and/or a visor
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Transmitter sends a strong signal and the resolution is good enough BUT although you can adjust the GPS brightness, you can not adjust the contrast of the camera. The angle of view is very wide, so I have mine adjusted so I can see my bumper but the brightness of the sky means you can't actually see what is behind you very well. I have experimented with and plan to fabricate and add a black plastic visor to shield the camera from light from overhead. That makes it useable but shouldn't have been necessary. Tech support was worthless. I have not had this problem with two other aftermarket cameras or three vehicles with factory cameras. Tech support only told me it was because the screen of the gps is glass and not plastic. Bull. At least I will only have one device sitting on my dashboard and only one wire to plug into my 12 volt socket.

Easy installation, poor picture
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I installed this myself to connect to a Garmin 2589 LMT . The installation is relatively easy considering I didn't need to use any type of relay or switch. The picture appears only 1 or 2 seconds after switching to Reverse gear..not too much delay.....However, the image quality is very grainy and much worse than the cheap hard-wire backup camera I have in my other car! I don't see how other reviews can claim that the camera image is so great! Maybe it depends on the gps unit that it's hooked up to.

Don't waste your money!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the worse camera I have ever used!! You can't tell what kind of vehicle or color or a darn thing that's behind you, and no way to brighten or enhance the picture! It is way overpriced too! Best buy installed it with a Garmin DriveSmart 60 gps unit. If it was not such a hassle I would return the whole thing and go with an in-dash stereo unit with the good Pioneer camera.

Not recommended
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not recommended for pickup trucks. Wires are not long enough. Consider getting this installed by a pro. Not what I expected from Garmin.
