I think this beard trimmer works great! Yeah the vacuum portion doesn't suck up every piece of stubble, but it gets a lot! Anyone that expects this to suck up every piece is unrealistic. When you look at it and see where the vacuum portion is at, you can see that gravity is going to force some to escape. My only negative comment is, it is a little pricey for this feature. Beyond that it's great.

It works OK the vacuum is good but the cutting performance is poor. I have returned it to Philips it has been more than 2 months that I am waiting for refund. I have received a call today saying they have lost the tracking number, so I have provided the tracking number to them and now they are telling me the refund process will take 4 to 8 weeks. I am leaving the county in 3 weeks. The world worst customer service. They clearly don't want to refund you and try to make it as hard as possible. To be able to return your item they need original receipt (which they didn't provide me with the product shipping and they didn't accept anything else even though I have ordered from their official website and it is clear that I have an order placed), also credit card bank statement (I have never hear a company requires that before), filing a money back guarantee from with the order number and reference number that you get when you have call them. So I did all these things and shipped it by UPS paying $15 and they claimed that they didn't receive the item after 2 months (of course I had to call them 3 times before they could tell me they have lost the tracking number). Fortunately I could find the tracking number so they couldn't tell me they won't refund but now they are telling me they need another 4-8 weeks to send me the check. Seriously I am leaving USA in 3 weeks and I will never be able to deposit the check. I will never buy Philips product ever. Don't believe in their money back guarantee thing. They make it as hard as possible to you.

This thing is amazing, perfect dialed in lengths, battery that lasts weeks, quick charging, and it vacuums up 98% of the hair. Not too shabby.

Function and battery life is great! Does its job well but it is still a very messy cleanup and I wish it did a better job overall of cutting evenly...other products work better but convenience with this one is great.

This trimmer looks quite promising at first sight: nice style, flashy diode digits etc. HOWEVER: I had a Norelco T780 trimmer before so I am comparing the trimmer with my old model and found quite a few flaws: First of all, the chamber that traps the hair stubbles is not a completely removable basket. It is just a door which folds open to release the stubbles. It is hard to open and the hinges are quite fragile, so I am really concerned about breaking it (which once almost happened). Therefore, it is also impossible to completely rinse the chamber with water, which I could do with my previous T780. You have to painstakingly clean the interior of the trimmer with the brush, while taking care not to bend the door too much so it might break. The air vents are narrow designed and placed across the sides of the trimmer. Unfortunately, unless you hold the trimmer in a particular way, you might block the airflow with your hand. In this case, the stubbles won't be trapped in the chamber properly and end up flying all over the place. The vacuum seems rather weak compared to the T780. The plastic beams above the scissor blades are not very sturdy and bend easily, so if you have a stronger grip while shaving, you might actually trim your beard much shorter than anticipated due to bending of the plastic grille. I definitely recommend taking a closer look at an unpacked model in the store before you purchase this trimmer, you might not be happy with it in the end. Especially if you have dense facial hair and rely on a neatly evenly shaved beard, you might be disappointed with the outcome after shaving with this model. I have no idea why the company did not rely on the old design of the T780 and instead brings another model on the market, which clearly is a poorer design compared to its predecessor.

I bought this not long after I found it in a Best Buy store. I went home and did some research to see what other people may have been saying about it. I bought it and brought it home and here's what I found. I really like the way this thing adjusts for length of cut. You just turn the wheel and it gives you a digital readout of the setting. It is very well made too. The only thing I would downgrade it on is the vacuum. It does suck pretty good but I still get plenty of hair falling in the sink as well. But I think it is still a good buy. It feels solidly built.

The vacuum actually works, about 85% of what I trim off my face actually ends up in the vacuum. It does not shave very close however, even with the guard removed. Great tool for the lazy once a week shaver.

I was looking for something like this device as I was was growing out my beard and trying to determine the proper length for me. Plus I hate to have whiskers all over the sink, faucet and counter in my bathroom. This device with its setting adjustments allows for a "1 day shave appearance" to a number of beard lengths. But again, the vacuum that is easily emptied sells this device. it works very well and charge seems to hold for a couple of weeks.

Love that this razor vacuums all the hair versus my husband leaving a hairy mess all over the bathroom! Very easy to use, when your done just dump the hair out and keep going! Love it!

great product Well worth the money charges fast does a gr8 job

The Vacuum system is the differential of this product. The system is not perfect. Some hair is not "captured" by the system, but it is still better than other shavers. The price is worth just for the vacuum system. Otherwise, buy a cheaper shaver. The battery life is great and holds a charge well. Another differencial is a "Turbo power boost button". It really boosts the cutting and fan speed.

Great for beard trimming. Vacuum works great, and battery life is good.

Perks for this trimmer include the digital length setting so the trim is the same every time. This may seem like a minute feature, however even if you apply pressure on the beard trimmer head, it will not move to a shorter length. Quick charge.. enough said. The trimmer head is great with 2x the bristles, I'd like to see them a little bit less flimsy but nonetheless a great design all around.

I thought this product was going to be good because it had a vacuum that would catch most of the hair the trimmer cut, but the vacuum did not work well, and barely any hair was trapped in the container because it was mostly in my sink. I was not impressed at all when I started using this product. However, it is pretty easy to clean.

Some reviews on other websites are critical of this trimmer, but I haven't had any problems with cuts or creating bald patches. (Disclosure: I maintain short growth - a tad longer than 5 o'clock shadow.) I have been using it for over a month, and at this point, my only regret is not buying this trimmer sooner.

It's a great razor. Feels real solid and sturdy in hand. The vacuum compartment is nice for shaving over sink. The guard has an opening that I feel might cause it to cut closer than should. Not a big deal tho. Overall impressive piece in the grooming artillery.

This trimmer doesn't work and will not work from 1 to 4mm settings. The comb fingers are too short and the blades will make contact with your skin. I have been using trimmers for over 15yrs and this was by far the worst for short stubble. Thou, it works great for longer setting. Used it for 2 weeks and ended up returning to store. Great idea/product terrible execution and attention to details.
