Nothing really to write about...it works
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not much to write about. The cable is by Belkin so you know it's going to work. It does exactly what it's intended to do. You no longer need to carry around or use a dongle, so that's a plus. One still can't listen to music or watch a video and charge the phone at the same time. So really if the dongle doesn't bother you, stay with what works for you. If pocketing a dongle is too much, I'd say this should be your next purchase. Overall I'd recommend it because it does the job. There shouldn't be a need for this, but Apple's decision to remove the headphone jack created the problem. Belkin to the rescue!

Excellent Audio Accessory
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Belkin 3' lightning to 3.5mm cable works great. I can connect my iPhone X to the auxiliary port of my car and play my favorite playlist with ease. The audio quality is significantly better than using bluetooth in my car. The length of the cord is perfect for me. I can neatly place my phone in the center console without excess cable interfering with other functions in the car. This is the perfect accessory for compatible lightning cable devices. I highly recommend.

Works but expensive
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like the idea of not having a dongle for every aux cord I one and this Belkin lightning to aux cord solves that problem. It works exactly like you'd expect, my iPhone has had no issues with it. The cord it self is very flexible and doesn't feel cheap. I haven't noticed any wear or tear in the time I've used it and the sound quality is great. My only complaint is the price. This thing is expensive. But, then again so is buying a normal aux cord and a dongle. Overall it works liked you'd expect an aux cord to work.

Belkin makes great accessories, this is one more
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I know that the change on iPhones in which they deleted the ability to use a standard 3.5mm headset patch cable or headphones has been difficult for many. Thankfully Belkin created this solution for those times you want to play your phone's music through your car's input jack. Maybe your car doesn't have bluetooth, or maybe you like the sound quality of wired vs. bluetooth wireless. Honestly, I know the wired sound sounds way better than bluetooth, and you only really notice when you are using high end audio speakers. Wired sound is fuller and more detailed, and this cable allows you to do this without any adapters. Playing my iPhone through this cable, with a car sound system that has Bose speakers, it makes you realize that if you love music, you'll want to do this vs. bluetooth audio. The highs, the lows, the volume, etc. I know Bluetooth is sometimes an option you don't have and then this is definitely required. The quality seems very decent, typical of Belkin accessories. I don't know what I'd do without Belkin accessories, I have so many of them for so many different reasons and appreciate all that they do to provide us with solutions. Thanks Belkin, for another great accessory!

Good alternative to Bluetooth in vehicle
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We love aux cables. They allow all passengers to share music and content without the need to pair extra phones to the vehicle's Bluetooth. We used plain old generic 3.5mm aux cables between our older iPhones (6S and older) and the aux port on the car. It worked perfectly fine for listening to music and offered limited hands-free telephone functionality. Beginning with the iPhone 7, Apple did away with the 3.5mm jack. They provide a tiny lightning to 3.5mm dongle, which is quite easy to lose as we found out. However, the dongle is female, so an aux cable was still required. I am so happy Belkin made this cable to enable the same aux functionality without the requirement of a dongle. This cable doesn’t charge the phone nor does it appear to utilize the car’s mic nor interface with the built-in hands-free phone system in any way. However, once a call is received, the sound is crystal clear and callers hear us over the phone mic nice and clear as well, even with the phone sitting in a cupholder between seats. The biggest downside to this or any other aux cable is the fact that it still requires the phone to be operated manually for music, calls or other features. This is also a great cable for connecting your phone to a speaker system or other playback device. Bluetooth isn’t always the most practical or best option for playback. I prefer hardwired any chance I get, especially for parties and events. Overall, not a bad cable, especially if you like using aux and misplaced the tiny dongle Apple provides.

No Bluetooth? No problem.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This accessory is perfect for anyone that wants to listen to their favorite music, podcast, or audio book from their phone but their car does not have built in Bluetooth. Most newer cars have Bluetooth built in, but if your car is older (but not too old) it likely has an 3.5mm auxiliary jack for this accessory. And with newer iPhones doing away with 3.5mm ports, it makes accessories like this one all the more important. It works as expected. You just need to have a good place to keep your phone so the cord doesn't get in the way of driving/shifting. I recommend a magnetic vent mount for your phone unless you live in a cold area and your heater is constantly running. You don't want hot air blowing on your phone. This accessory can also be used with many/most A/V receivers that don't have Bluetooth built in. Overall, it's an excellent purchase if you have needs like the ones I have discussed.

Works as Expected
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not a whole lot to say about this product, it is just a cable. It is a great device to have, everyone can use an lightning connector aux cable. I used this in my Sony car stereo and just like magic, I have connected music and podcasts. If you need an aux cable for your late model iPhone or iPad, this is the one to get.

great AUX to lighting cable
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This cable is great! Exactly what I needed for my older car that has an AUX input for my iPhone that doesn't have a stereo input. Works like a charm! If you need one of these this is super handy to have. Belkin makes quality products, this is exactly what I needed.

Excellent if it's what you need
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There are so many cables available that it makes choosing a problem, so here are the issues I see. First is build quality and certification. As a Belkin product, it's top notch in these areas. Great quality, a slim and flexible cable, and it's fully Apple certified. It absolutely does all it's supposed to and has a DAC built in to convert the lightning digital signal to analog. This is why some cable fail to work ... no converter. This cable can transmit high res sound. You get what you pay for. Second, do you need it? If you want to input your iPhone 7 or later audio directly into the AUX jack on speakers, cars, or stereos, it's just the thing, and it avoids needing an additional dongle to convert the signal. If your car has Apple Car Play, it's not needed since you just use your standard lightning cable. If you use Bluetooth, it's not needed unless you want higher quality than Bluetooth delivers. Pros ... High quality build. Certified. High quality sound delivery. Cons ... Higher cost than knock offs. You can't charge the phone while using it.

Awesome cable
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, one might ask if there is a need for this cable in spite that iPhones have an adapter included already. Good question one might ask. However the primary advantage of this is that it has a direct digital connection to your speaker or receiver/amplifier. I am by no means an audiophile but I can say it minimizes any distortion in the connection. Also a defective or plain dirty male-male cable can provide distortion or cracking sounds. This cable prevents this. I have tried this in my ION speaker and compared to bluetooth, there seems to be less distortion. For this simple reason, it is worthwhile to consider this cable if you want to maximize the audio quality coming from your Apple device.

Necessary accessory for any newer iPhone.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did not even realize that this product existed or that I even needed it until I discovered it at Best Buy. I have not had a headphone jack since my iPhone 7 and have been using adapters in my car since it does not have Bluetooth. After purchasing this I can now connect my phone to my car radio via auxiliary and can just leave this cable in the car. The cable is very durable and feels high quality. You can definitely feel the difference between this cable and a cable you buy online from China. At first I was a little disappointed that iPhone got rid of the headphone port but now I am used to it. This aux cable comes in extremely handy and clutch.

The Right Tool for the Job!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Belkin - 3' Lightning-to-3.5mm Audio Cable is a basic adapter for plugging iOS devices into audio speakers and systems that provide a 3.5mm audio-in option. It simply works! For me, it's especially useful for the occasional times when I want to provide background music for a special event. Even though most of the speakers I use have Bluetooth capabilities, I still find it easier and more secure to plug in a dedicated iPhone or iPad. I've had too many times when I'm in a hurry, and going through the pairing process for Bluetooth is a pain. This cable solves that problem. This is the Right Tool for the Job!

Lightning to 3.5MM Audio Connector - Simple
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Belkin cable is well made & has the feel & thickness of Apple cables. The function of this cable is to connect the iPhone (which no longer has a 3.5mm jack) directly to a speaker or to a vehicle sound system. Audio quality is not limited by this cable, so you can expect a wider audio frequency response & improved dynamic range, than when compared with wireless Bluetooth connection. This cable solves a connection issue that until now required a wireless connection. This Belkin cable earned a high recommendation if you need to connect your phone to a speaker or to a vehicle sound system.

Posted .Hi Jimby,
It's not right that you need to constantly twist the end of the Lightning Audio Cable to make it work properly. To isolate, try another device and observe how it goes. Useful cable for iPhones w/o headphone jack
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a useful cable to have in the car for AUX jacks. The iphone 7 and newer needs this cable in order to utilize your car audio AUX jack if you don't have bluetooth available. Belkin makes a great product that doesn't error out with Apple products and provides great connectivity and audio. I utilize this cable in my 2008 Honda CRV that has an AUX jack and no bluetooth. My newer phone makes it simple for me to enjoy my music in my older car. This can also be used to plug into speakers at home and listen to your audio at home with ease.

great 3' lightning to 3.5 mm audio cable
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Belkin 3.5mm jack to lighting cable works as advertised. The cord seems to be fairly durable, and well made. It works fairly nicely as an audio input for older speaker systems, non apple compatible, etc. Sound quality isn’t diminished in any way by the cable. Finally if I had to nitpick one thing, I would like it if the cable was longer, as it is a standard 3 ft long, but, it works well as described. I would highly recommend it if you are looking for a longer cable.

Must have accesory for some!!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have waited for this product to come out for a very long time. After apple removed the headphone jack from it's new phones it required many dongles just to plug your phone into an AUX port. This cable is high quality and works just as needed. However, this cable is not for everyone. Most people use Bluetooth and other wireless devices for audio on their phones. I would recommend this for anyone who really needs to plug their phone into an AUX port and wireless is not an option. Overall it is an awesome accessory just not necessarily a necessity for all.
