The dropping of the connection could be due to an interfering wireless signal in the area. We advise that you adjust the router's wireless channel to avoid wireless interference. Bought a new one thinking it would be better for all of the additional devices. Not so much. I got 5 of 6 bars with the old unit and usually get 4 of 6 with this one.

I expected a better performance from this router. I was no more than 25' away from the router & my signal strength was fair.
