I purchased this at the last minute because i was changing cell phone service and they had supplied me with a wireless router I had to return. I didn't get a chance to do much research but trusted the belkin name and form what the box said I thought it would do the job. I have it in the same location of the previous two wireless routers I have had and always had a strong signal into my backyard. On this one The signal drops significantly at about 20 feet and dies at 30. I barely keep my phone on WiFi in my bedroom. Pretty much all my devices are 2.4gig. I will be doing more research and either buy a different router or get a repeater.

I've had this for 6 months and have had to have it factory set once and I've had to reset it myself several times. It's not reliable. However, it was easy to set up.

This product was easy to hook up and did just what was advertised.

I reviewed the router online and it was given a good review. I purchased the Belkin Router to replace my old Netgear. Well, what a mistake, the wi fi part of the router is very very slow. After, troubleshooting the problem with a Belkin technician for over three hour it was determined that unit was bad so they thought. I returned the unit and got a replacement, thinking things will improve, they didn't, I got the same problem. Worst off I lost the receipt and cannot return the unit. The old NetGear wifi speed is 56.0 Mbps download the Belkin is at 2.09 Mbps.

Product worked great for 3 months and two weeks. It then stopped working. I called tech support where they informed me that they have free phone support for 3 months. I would have to pay to continue. I find it very difficult to believe that a manufacturer would only stand behind their product for 3 months in this day and age. I am an electrical engineer and at my company we design consumer products to last no less than 10 years and stand behind our products. This is extremely poor service and I will not purchase Belkin products in the future.

In December, Belkin has some software problems, while trying to load updates to the routers. Since the wireless router needs to be continually reset, and doesn't work for some devices. After confirming the internet connection is fine, Belkin confirmed they had troubles, and now to fix, they want to to pay a maintenance fee of $30. So I can fix their problems. Guessing Linksys can also fix their problems, heading back to store today. I know there isn't a lot of competition in this field - but very bad customer service.

I mostly used Belkin routers and this is not an exception. They always served me well - this unit does everything as described. I am happy with it.

I've had this router for 5 months and it's nothing but a headache. Connection drops at least twice a day. I've tried various methods to regain connection, google seraches, talked to ISP, you name it. I am in the same daily routine. I replaced an old CISCO router and that router was actually better than this Belkin. I only upgraded because I thought with the added electronics in my house, that it was time for an upgrade. I'm reinstalling my old router until I can replace this one.

We have a 2600 sq ft home and we were told that this router would have good range for all areas of the house. This is only so if you are next to the router. As soon as we left the room and went in the hallway, the internet speed dropped dramatically. In the room it was 80mbps. The hallway 17mbps, the kitchen 16mbps, backroom 13mbps. Our sons room which is closer to the room with the router, but has 2 walls between, 8mbps. We couldn't even download one show. Returning!

Thought I would upgrade to a router with guest access. Oh No, I should have researched more before I bought a Belkin. This thing drops out too often. Filtering is messed up and when you follow the procedure from the Belkin Dashboard you get no response. Call Belkin and tech support in naive and reading scripts. STAY AWAY FROM BELKIN! Wish I would researched more before I bought. Hooked up my old Linksys and no more connection drop outs and things work.

Purchased this router to finally upgrade from my 5 year old draft N router. For the $, this is an excellent router.

After two months with this router, I am searching for a new one. Setup was a piece of cake, but from the go it has been hit or miss for wireless connections. I have a macbook and pc wired into the router itself, and have had very few problems, but ipads and laptops attempting to wirelessly connect can expect to be dropped every 30-60 minutes, even sitting directly next to the router. I have adjusted channels and other settings, as well as moving the router to different locations away from my office electronics with no success. I only recently discovered that the router could (allegedly) support a usb-connected external drive. I say allegedly because the transfer speeds are so slow I could write the data I am accessing by hand before seeing it on the screen. In sum, I consider this router a waste of money and am looking at other options with better reviews from CNet and PCMag.

I bought this to replace my Belkin N600 that was a few years old. Setup was very easy, and I do agree the signal goes a little bit farther than my N600. However, using streaming sites like Hulu on the TV, videos and commercials were taking longer to load. The connection gets reset about every other episode. For PS3 gaming, there are noticeable pauses in the game as well as the connection getting reset almost hourly. I am a network savvy guy and have set up the network and port forwarding just like the last router, yet still having issues (never had issues before). Even tried different wireless channels, same issues. Returning this router at the 2 week mark and going back to my old Belkin.

This router worked for 8 months. Called for customer support and all you get are India call centers. Drops 2.4 and 5 ghz signal off every 3 weeks, you can to do a reset and reconfigure every time. Do not waste your time.

I've had this router for almost 2 years now, and it's still going strong! Great Internet all through my house and outside, no extender needed!

Still working this product and greatly works on 5G as well

I'm very computer savvy, had Comcast installed and purchased an ASUS cable modem which works great. Attached this router and the setup was super easy. However, the speeds were around 5mbps hard wired or wifi. Note, that the direct connection to the cable modem runs at 100mbps. Support, while willing to help, was unable to solve the problem. It's only been a week so this unit is going back to Best Buy.

Purchase this to replace an old one that was no longer working and this seems to have taken it's place just perfectly

Works as needed in my house, my situation didn't require an expensive router to get wifi where I needed it.
