That's why it is cheaper than others

I selected this AC router because it was cheapest router in the bestbuy and want to try AC router. Setup is not difficult, web based setup guided me easy setup. I connected USB and installed USB storage software and media server. When I play a small video file in USB storage, the video keeps stop. I never experienced this on my previous netgear router. And I found one or two times I have to reset the router and modem. I will return this router, because of low wireless speed and unstable connection.

    Not Good

I bought this router over a year ago and have not been happy with it. The 5GHz channel disappears constantly. Even the 2.4GHz channel experiences extreme slowdowns with only 3 devices connected. Tried updating firmware and dedicating channels, still no luck, very sub-par performance. I'm going back to Linksys, maybe I can use this Belkin AC750 as a repeater. It's either that or the recycle bin...

after installing it I was unable to open the set up page or any web site, computer had a connection to the net but I was unable to go to any web pages at all, after rebooting the router repeatedly I was finally able to open the set up page, keep in mind the 2 hours it took me to get it to work it was broadcasting wifi, after opening the set up page it forced a firmware update, I completed the set up and started connecting the wireless devices I have and after about 15 minutes the unit turned off the wifi, I went to the belkin web site and found my issue quite easily as there are a whole lot of people have an issue with the wifi dropping out, I followed the steps and the it worked for about 5 minutes and did the same thing, the issues continued with me trying to fix it for about another 4 hours frustrated I boxed it back up and returned it and bought a netgear router that was up and working with in 5 minutes, I was also blown off by belkins customer service, after waiting on the phone for over a 1/2 hour the person I got on the phone told me to do the same stuff I already had done and then took my info and said a tech would call me in an hour,as of the moment I'm writing this review its been 3 days and still no call.

    Simply Awful

I intended to use this router as an upgrade from my older b/g router for wireless 1080p media streaming since the older one couldn't handle it. The range on this unit is absolutely atrocious in the 2.4ghz range. I would expect this performance on the 5ghz range, but the 2.4ghz range was substantially WORSE than my previous b/g router. My media player couldn't even maintain a connection to the router. If you get a strong signal, the router is excellent, but that is spotty at best. Multiple tests back to back from the same spot in the house would vary substantially. At some points equivalent to my wired speeds, seconds later, absolutely snail (ISDN) speeds. Possibly a firmware update could fix these issues, but I am no beta tester after spending 90$. Back to the store it goes. Belkin should be ashamed of trying to sell this product.

I have a giant movie file and have a home large home network(wired ) I cant watch 2 mins of a movie without lag ( that's the router not being able to stream as fast as movie can play) . I have had coaxile 10 meg routers that could out perform this paperweight. It all worked well until I did the auto update built into the router after the fist update this router upchucked and hasn't worked scince.

Gave Belkin second chance; bad idea

I got a cheap Belkin years ago and was disappointed, gave them a second shot when I saw that this looked to be a great value and I was in the market for this kind of device. It failed about 15 seconds after plugging it in. I will not be giving them a third chance. I'm getting a Linksys or Netgear.

I bought this product in December 2015 so I could connect my Roku to 5 ghz. The product worked well the first three months. And then our internet connection started getting spotty and slow and we would have to reboot the router. Finally, we would have to reboot every fifteen or so minutes and the internet would get slower and slower, so at this point I spoke with Belkin's CS. Very nice people, had me do a hard reset and it only took one day for the same problems to commence once again. Not at all worth the money spent. At this point I'm realizing spending more is the way to go.

    From Good to Bad router

When I first bought this router, the connection was nice, fast, and decent. Later, it started to have problems. I have poor reception and speed due to having 2 walls away from my router, it randomly crashed on me losing wifi connection, and I can't play my game properly. Might as well as return it since it's been almost 1 week.

Range was so bad, I returned it

I recently started playing my Xbox again and decided it would be a good idea to buy a new router to speed things up and increase signal on the first floor. The router is located on the second floor and although the signal strength isn't the greatest with my old Netgear, it got the job done. I used the easy interface (over simplified, in my opinion) to install the product, turned on my security features and went downstairs to the living room to find that my phone was on 4G instead of the wireless network. The signal was so bad that we couldn't get signal at all! Our house is about 2000 sq ft, so it's not huge, but I would have at least expected the Belkin product to reach where our old $40 netgear would go. The range is really bad and if you plan on using this on a 2 story home, I would not recommend.

    Poor range and signal strength

i bought this router to replace an older lower specification router. However, I found that my new router had poor range and signal strength, also quite slow connectivity. Not impressed. I took it back to the store and got a Netgear R6300. A bit more expensive but worth paying for I think. We will see how it goes. At least I am able to connect my printer to the Netgear router whereas with the Belkin the printer was just not getting a strong enough signal. The signal with the Netgear is 100%.

The router drops connection after minimal use, even when PC is within optimal range (7 - 10 feet from router). the router dropped connection just now while I am writing this review, I am plugged in now but I was connected wirelessly with line of sight of the router... I gave my N1 Vision (the best router belkin has made to date) to a friend because I thought I would upgrade but this is definitely not an upgrade.

Hi QATech. Thanks for sharing your experience with the router. We're sad to learn about the inconvenience. Allow us to assist you with this. You may need to adjust the settings of your wireless router to improve its performance. Try changing wireless channels on your Belkin router. Channels 1,3,6 or 9 are recommended. Getting through to Belkin was outrageous. The first call-I was on hold for 45 minutes and then it took another half hour for them to tell me I was eligible for a free replacement. I paid for expedited shipping and 9 days later I still do not have the unit. I have called them 6 times and each time I get a different answer. Today I was told that maybe they could ship it tomorrow. I told them to forget it and I will never buy another Belkin product.

I bought this router because my internet provider issued router was not giving me the best connection when I am connected wireless. I read reviews before buying the router and was convinced that I should not have a problem with live video streaming, however, it is very slow when I am streaming via my internet TV.

      Hi Cimply,

There are lot of factors why you're experiencing weak and dropping wireless connection from the router. These are:

      • Low signal quality received from your wireless router
      • Frequency interference from other wireless devices
      • Physical obstructions
      • Mismatched router and adapter settings
      • Computer adapter's driver needs to be upgraded
      • Power outage

It is recommended to place the router on a higher location or in a less interference area. You may also adjust the wireless channel to avoid any conflict with other devices or networks. Make sure as well that the router has an up to date firmware.

I had a friend who had this thing in their house for a few days and before we knew it it lost connection and wouldn't reconnect to the cable modem. Tried multiple times to re install everything and do everything from scratch but no luck and it isn't even just this one. I have experienced multiple Belkin routers and they are always disappointing. Don't waist your money please.
