Literally every morning I went into the computer room and had a message "router not online" or something to that effect. I had to re-start it and only sometimes did it go back online. The re-set button didn't re-set it, either. I even called my ISP and they said my modem was working fine, that it was something on my end. I re-installed my 8-yr-old Linksys router and all is well again - no problems. Sadly, I threw away the box and can't take it back, so it sits unused in the closet.

I have owned two Belkin routers and have been happy. I purchased this router as an upgrade and as part of our media center. When i installed it i found out that my 3 TB hard drive wouldn't work with it. After numerous email to Belkin i was finally told that the router would only support a 1 TB drive and only if it was partitioned into two 500GB drives. Also it dosen't support apple formatted drives. It would be nice if Belkin released an update or marked thier packages correctly. if i had know the limits of this router i would of purchased one from apple that can support my external harddrive.

This worked great for 6 months, then continual problems. Every time the electricity went out, I had to reset the router and redo the settings. Then the WPA stopped working, and Belkin tried forcing me to use WEP instead of replacing the unit. After refusing, they finally sent a new router, which would not work. Very poor customer service and poor quality product. After the experience I had with their customer service, I will never buy a Belkin product again.

It took over 2 hours to install this, because in spite of the 'easy setup', I had to configure the router to 4 different devices, and reconfigure those devices wireless settings. And even then its connection and speed to one device was inexplicably bad no matter what I tried. But then, after purchasing it I talked to a comp science friend who immediately groaned when I told him what brand I had bought. Generally speaking, I'm the tech guru for my family and friends, got taken by this buy. I'm taking this back for a real working product.

First off the router came with no instructions what so ever. Luckily, I am pretty good on a computer so I knew how to hook it up but it would not work at all. I called the customer support number and the person on the line had an attitude and talked down to me. Bottom line came to he could not help me and told me I have a defected router. I took it back to the store and got a Linksys Cisco and it works perfectly. No problems at all.

Unit failed within three months of use. Best Buy would not accept a return. Despite the fact that it is warrantied for two years, Belkin is giving me a major run around so that they can replace it with a "refurbished" unit. Stick to Netgear. I will in the future.

I received the Belkin Wireless Dual Band N Router as a Christmas present from my daughter. The router was DOA out of the box. After six calls to the Belkin tech support line over the course of two weeks and at least nine of ten hours on the phone they finally agreed to send me a new router. I had to pay postage which was eleven dollars and change. I have had the new router connected since January and it is now malfucntioning by losing its connection intermittently. I will never buy another Belkin product. You have been warned.

I bought this to replace a Linksys router that I had for four years. The Belkin is a piece of garbage. The other reviews show how they die about 2-3 weeks into their life. This one died on day 30. Hopefully BB lets me replace it or else I'll have to wait for a new one to get sent to me, which according to the lady in India, will be within 7 days. Do not buy this product. I'm looking at the Netgear but it looks like all the routers die within a year. Makes no sense to have to repurchase this product every year.

bought this router sept 7 and it October 29 and it won't stay connected for more than 10 minutes at a time. It's not my cable modem because I have my smart tv and PS3 hard wired to the modem and they work fine. Called my cable company once about it before I hard wired and they said(brighthouse cables) there's a known problem with belkin and its on their end. They were the one that suggested hard wiring what I can. If you have brighthouse stay away from belkins!!

I upgraded from the N300 to this the N600. Don't waste your money!
It constantly loses the signal and Belkin's support is a joke. They have a 24 hr online assistance, yeah right, there is NEVER an agent available to help you. If you call the phone you get the computer run around and then disconnected. I am still trying to get this returned under the warranty and NO ONE will contact me back. Worst support site I have ever seen.

Hi SKE46514, Thank you for letting us know about your situation and we're sorry you were affected by that setback. To achieve a dependable wireless connection, Wi-Fi has to overcome many barriers and obstacles. As distance increases, the wireless signal strength decreases, and different types of walls and other obstructions will further impede the signal strength.
To avoid this from happening again, we'd recommend doing the following:
* Move your wireless router to a central location and choose a better channel. The recommended channels for the 2.4 GHz network are 1, 6, 9 and 11 since they are considered non-overlapping channels. For the 5 GHz network, channels 36, 40, 44 and 48 are recommended to less likely suffer interference.
* Upgrade or re-flash the firmware.

The router was defective out of the box. The people at Belkin customer service gave only advice that was scripted and unhelpful. Nothing they suggested worked and the final solution provided was to get a new computer. Returned the defective router with no problems at Best Buy.

It doesn't always work. My wireless is always going off. It isn't my internet service because I plug it in to my computer and works great. I don't know what the issue with Belkin lately but I have to go and buy another wireless router. I brought my belkin in March so less than a year old and am not able to return it.

We regret the inconvenience you had with the Belkin N600 router. Is the dropping connection happening on the wireless connection of the router? Try connecting your computer hardwired to the ethernet port of the router and check if the connection is stable. It's possible that the dropping connection is due to wireless interference. You can adjust the wireless settings on your router to avoid interference. You can change the Wireless Channels and use Channels 1 or 6 or 11 which are non-overlapping. Good price, Bad installation

I got this router because I was told that it was the best router for its price. True, the price was great compared to others, but once I got it home it turned into a 2 hour nightmare trying to set it up! The "easy" three step installation made me call Belkin for help and for close to two hours they took me in complete circles trying to get it set up. I NEVER had this kind of same problem with my previous routers.

I've had this router for 6 months and it just quit working. I purchased based on all the good reviews. Will be purchasing another brand. Thank goodness my old D-Link still works, unfortunately I need one with a usb port which was the reason I purchased a new router. My D-Link is over 8 years old and still kicking. Won't buy another Belkin...horrible product!

The devices that were connected to the router continually lost connectivity. It became so annoying that I had to take the router back and get a different brand. Frustrating, especially given that there is a long list of similar complaints like this on the web.

when i'm connected the connection will be rarely fast. most of the time it can't open a simple webpage. I also have an xbox 360 on the router. with no computers online at the same time the connection to my xbox 360 is weak. don't wast the money on this product. get a different on thats not belkin.

This unit was difficult to install and performed poorly when it did work. We have 2 older laptops that constantly lost connection to the unit. Only one, new system stayed connected with any regularity. The setup was cumbersome and overly complicated and I have been doing this for a while.
