Going though the set up process was simple, but when trying to personalize the network name this step in the set up process would not complete. OK router, but nothing fancy.

Easy install no desktop needed

This was literally, plug and then sign in using iPad . I was able to connect do set up and complete the entire process in less than 30 minutes. Highly recommend if you want easy to use/install router.

Unfortunately the router still has only 2-3 bars when upstairs same range as 10 year old router. Doesn't consistently connect with more than two computers need to keep re-configuring on additional laptops.

My previous router died after many years of faithful service - and I needed one right away. Since I am streaming a lot of multimedia throughout the house to various devices I chose this particular one. So far it has been great! It has performed very well. It is also customizable for beginners/non-techies or the tech savvy - depending on how you want to set it up. It is a little more expensive than I would have liked, but it is a reliable brand.

It has two bands so one can be dedicated to trivial bandwidth such as email and the other for high bandwidth such as gaming and streaming. So far it seems to work just fine. Overall, this is a decent router.
