The down side was that the installation pop ups would not pop up until after I uninstalled the previous wifi product. The previous one was also a Belkin. After I uninstalled everything it seemed to go smoother. Changing the password can trick you as well. When you change it, the system says it has to reboot the rooter but then pops up an error saying it could not change the password because the rooter is not on(since it was rebooting). But it does actually change the password.

By the time we added the protection plan, it was almost as much as the router our tech-saavy friends recommended (which has a lifetime warranty on parts and labor so we didn't need to purchase additional protection plan.)

Thank you for sharing your feedback on the Belkin F9K1102 wireless router. Wireless speed can be improved by adjusting the router's wireless settings and upgrading the router's firmware. We suggest that you change the router's wireless channel to 1, 6, or 11. You may also use apps/tools to help determine the best channel for your network. Here are some links to assist you:

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We usually have multiple devices running at the same time...laptops, x-box, PS3, cell phones...and this router handles the load perfectly with little-to-no lag, we're very happy with it. My only (minor) complaint is that when I open my laptop, the router signal light goes off and "resets" and while it's doing this the computer automatically chooses another connection making me have to go back and manually choose mine again. A minor inconvenience but I can overlook it because of its performance. Definitely recommend it.
