This is an uncommon behavior of the router. This may be caused by an outdated firmware. Try to update the firmware, then reset and configure the router again. You can observe after that if the performance of the router improves.

We need to do further isolation to know the real cause of this matter. Does this occur on wired and wireless connection? Or only on wireless? Make sure that you have a stable connection behind the modem. Simply connect the computer directly to your modem and check if you can get online right away.
If this happens on the wireless connection, adjusting the wireless channel will help. Assigning fixed channels for both frequency bands will help in boosting the range of your Wi-Fi network depending on your current network environment. Try channels 1, 6, 9 and 11 for the 2.4 GHz band, and channels 36, 40, 44, and 48 for the 5 GHz. Should you need a hand, we can be reached anytime at [email protected].

It was very easy to install and worked right away. Unfortunately, after nine days, a purple light came on. The help website said to unplug and replug. if it did not work, the item was defective.
