I have had difficulty getting this router to work properly with my new computer. I have called Belkin support. I have run Windows Diagnostics. Some days, I can connect to the internet and stay online. Some days, I lose my connection from time to time and then have to try to reconnect. Some days I can't connect, so then I use my spouse's laptop which has Windows 7. We have not had problems connecting with Windows 7, but I should be able to use my own computer! Best Buy has not been any help. I did call them but heard nothing more. Also, the salesperson I talked to last month, knew I was buying a computer with Windows 8 when we talked about routers. The router I bought was the one he recommended to me. Perhaps the sales people should be better trained. I wish I had not purchased this router. I don't think it works well with Windows 8. If you have a computer with Windows 8, I recommend you buy a different router. This has not been a good experience. I will continue to try to figure out a solution, but next time, I plan to buy a different brand.

That being said, you may be experiencing intermittent wireless connection brought about by interference. To minimize this, adjust the wireless channel of your router to either 1, 6, or 11.
