We thoroughly cleaned the watch, and allowed the protector to set for the recommended time but it still lifted every time I tried to remove the last layer of film. It also isn't a full screen protector, it only covers the area directly above the LCD so the sides of your glass are still exposed and possible to be scratched.

What you have experienced with the screen protector is odd. It should securely stay in place once it's adhered to your Apple Watch. As for its size, it was designed to cover up until where the curve starts to maintain product quality and avoid lifting of the screen protector.
