    I connected this Reader to an old Gateway laptop through a USB hub. Installation into Windows 10 was trivial. Had no problems reading a CAC card.

    Finally purchased a reader that is DOD compatible with my CAC card. This works excellent and I have had no problems with using it between a MAC and PC.

    My old CAC reader stopped reading. Being a pandemic going on, the competitor shipping site was showing a replacement as being more than a month out. Luckily my nearest Best Buy had curbside service and one of these in stock. Double the price of my 4-year-old one, but hopefully, double the life span. This one works perfectly so far though.

    To get a CAC to work on a home PC go to military cac dot com. This may or may not be listed on there, but I got it working very quickly to access everything I need.

    So I bought this and on the first Mac that I connected it to I had no issues. I connected it to a new macbook pro with the touch bar and it doesnt work the same way as on my Mac Pro. Tried to download drivers and couldnt find any. Your mileage could vary.

    Good product, no issues except when trying to make it work with a Mac on the ne Capitan operating system. It took a bit to get everything downloaded to make it work.

    I'm a service member in the military and I was out of town and had forgot my card reader at home. Needing something quick I went and purchased this reader. It's easy to use and the drivers install automatically which is a relief. I've had no issues so far and I use the device regularly.
