Customers are saying

Customers appreciate the Wireless-N USB Network Adapter's ease of use, affordable price, and reliable performance in home or office settings. Many also highlight the strong signal, good range, and convenient USB connectivity. While some find the adapter slightly bulky, the positive feedback on performance and ease of installation outweighs this minor drawback.

Got this N300 adapter to get more speed and reliability, yet it performed lower than expected, at speeds up to 300, I am only getting 65, I even updated the driver and still no difference, I think there may be an interference from another PC that does a lot of uploading. But worth the price.

Hi Payta. Thank you for letting us know about the situation. The device is a receiver and relies to the main router for its signal connection. You may change the wireless frequency channel of the router for a stronger broadcast. For 2.4 GHz connection, test channels 1, 3, 6, 9, and 11. For 5 GHz, test channels 157, and 161. Should you need further assistance, you may email us your complete contact details, location, and the link to this review at [email protected], so our team may provide more possible solutions.Belkin

Returned the adapter 3 times in less than a 15days, device became defective in hours, i still have the last defective adapter and i can not return cause last one failed in about one month, packaged and purchased as new but was an open item, best buy should not carry those items, starting to consider online sites like amazon, etc instead of best buy because of all that, if best buy continue doing that store will probably be closed as other local stores

After I installed it, and finally got the second computer to see it, it said the distance was too great. I have a small house and I was 2 rooms over. About 20 feet. What a waste of money. I should have returned it.

Product kept dropping the internet connection. Spoke with Belkin tech support and took it back for replacement which did the same thing. Took that back and bought Netgear which works perfectly.

Great product - solved my problems

I purchased this item because my Dell Precision laptop's wireless card would not connect to my home office network for some reason. The computer is under warranty, but I needed an immediate solution without breaking the bank. This wireless adapter was less than $40 and provided almost instant connection to my network, with faster speeds than my fancy Dell computer had when it was working fine. I use a Toshiba USB 3.0 Docking Station, which is also an excellent buy, so I don't have to plug this into a laptop directly. This is a good thing, because the only complaint I would have with this item if I needed to plug it into the laptop itself would be that it sticks out about 3 1/2 inches from the laptop, so you need to remember to take it out and store it whenever you are on the go. Other than that, this item is perfect for home/home office users who need internet connectivity.

This item was not too difficult to set up. My wireless router is on the other side of the house and it picks it up very well, even going trough many walls. My only issue, and I believe that this is a computer issue, is that when I remove a USB device from a USB port without using the 'Safely Remove Hardware' icon at the bottom of the taskbar, it disconnects the wireless adapter and I have to reconnect the device, which sometimes is a pain. Otherwise, downloads and internet surfing is very fast. I currently have a 20Mb download and 2Mb upload package through my cable carrier.

This product was inexpensive, installed easily, and has turned out to be very reliable. I have had no dropped signals for the past several weeks since installation. This is the way it is supposed to be. I previously had a Cisco Linksys wireless adapter at twice the price and it would drop its signal every 5 minutes, requiring a reboot of the computer to re-establish its signal. The Belkin adapter causes no such aggravation. Its signal strength is strong (consistently 5 bars) and remains fast and strong.

Extended Wifi Range In Large Home

One laptop in home constantly dropped Internet connection after changing providers. The Belkin adaptor enhanced the speed during surfing and download time. Couldn't live without it! Simple setup-I used the drivers only, did not need the bloat of additional software. A win!

We bought this product because our Ethernet cord stopped working. It made sense to go for wireless connection to offer some mobility of our PC. Set up was easy, but we have trouble quite often with no connection. When this happens we unplug the device and plug it back in. This usually solves the problem. It is a minor inconvenience.

This works very well with computer using it located 40-50 feet from Belkin router. Also picks up signal from neighbor's router located 300 yards away (weak signal, but signal, none the less). Once set up, really requires nothing else.
