The 3-piece stainless steel shell is lightly brushed, not just polished, and the finish is perfect. Out of the box, it looks like a 1-piece outer shell; I had to look very close to detect a seam (lap joint). That means the steel is thin, and it does get quite warm/hot. The moving parts look tinny (much like other brands), but they work well enough for light duty use. Deal of the Day is hard to beat!

It has a nice perfect toast to every part o the licked bread. It does bagels to perfection. Waffles are a little thick so I’m still working on the right setting for that.

So leaving it plugged in within corner cabinet, doesn’t give you room of ventilation of heat. There's a smell of plastic burning and even our 4 year old questions what that smell. It's gotta be the wiring inside, and there doesn't seem to have a trap door to empty crumbs.

This is a very well made device and the extra wide slots allow you to use a variety of breads & bagels. I like the fact that this has a sliding bread crumb tray that comes out for easy cleaning. The stainless steel is really rich and vibrant and looks very grand. Highly recommend this to anyone for it's price and usability factor.

It' sturdy, made of stainless steel (not plastic). It toasts evenly with as many features as a need. For $19.95 on sale I couldn't beat it
