Works well

It now cooks evenly on both sides and after getting the settings down, it's pretty much great toaster. I'm not sure why it improved but hopefully it doesn't start to degrade. I bought it on sale that put it in the Walmart price range. It's a toaster. Good build, and pretty well does what it is supposed do, toast toast. I do wish it had a extra lift on the handle because with this toaster you do need to reach down into the gap to pull your toast out.

Good toaster for the price

Good Bagel Toaster--Regular toast, not so much!

But the very reason it works so well for that, ruins it as a general toaster (which it says it is on the box). Toasts well on one side (what you want in a bagel toaster), doesn't do well for regular toast. Narrow bread (like sandwich size) drops below top and after toasted, is really hard to get out--top gets hot and accidental touch is not pleasurable! May be made of stainless steel, but it is not stainless--touch outside with butter fingers and it leaves a mark. So if you want a Good Bagel toaster this is it. Other wise, it is not a general toaster.
