It has the wide slots, which I find to be very accommodating for the different breads and other items I use, along with the various settings that make for fun and convenient use. You need tongs to grab bread and pull it out. The handle doesn't raise high enough, and there is a lip around the slots that makes things more difficult. Otherwise, Evenly toasts, so not all bad.
