This is a great air fryer. Starting with the appearance, very nice looking appliance. I love the see thru features, I can see how my food is looking as it cooks. It is the perfect size. So far I’ve only tied a few meats, mainly chicken, and I love it. I am looking forward to trying more recipes. You can’t go wrong with this appliance. The touch screens very responsive, works perfectly.

OK so this is my first air fryer and I must say it’s very good. I used it already to cook a bunch of things such as french fries chicken wings and some other frozen food that I had in the freezer. The ease of use of this air fryer is excellent, you just put the food in set the touchscreen settings and hit start. Halfway through the cooking cycle it will prompt you to remove the tray and turn over or shake the food that’s in there to get an even cook. The food has been excellent, crispy on the outside warm/juicy on the inside just delicious. Another thing to note is that this thing cooks in about half the time of what the directions say on the package as far as frozen food goes so that’s another win for this product. I say if you’re looking for an air fryer definitely give this one a look. It’s made of high-quality materials the ease of uses top-notch build quality is top notch and so far everything I’ve made and it comes out crispy and perfect no thoughts no worries just great food. Other cool features is that it comes with a preset menu such a bake, french fries, reheat and things like that so instead of you manually inputting the time and temperature you can go to one of the presets and just hit start and it works very well. Definitely recommend this product.

Hello, I wasn't a believer in air fryers as I love to grill or just use the microwave but this has definately changed my mind in a big way. There are alot of air fryers and and its good to do your homework on what is best for your needs. There are only two of us in my household so this which is designed for up to 6 people is more then enough. My favorite feature by far is the ability to see the food and do it easily. Also I love the quality of the product, it is stainless steel looks very sharp and very different then alot of other air fryers. I still am learning but overall for basic foods and a newbie like me this is awesome. I know they say not to use any spray but I do use a little pam aerosol spray on the pan that seems to work nice and I love the little recipe that comes in the container. It is not small but also doesn't take too much room on your kitchen counter, and it is VERY quiet.

The Sensio Bella Pro 5.3 QT see through Touchscreen Air Fryer is one of the most used appliances on our kitchen counter. The touchscreen makes it pretty simple and to use, almost comparable to the microwave. If you want to reheat items that are meant to have a crisp to them, then you will wonder how you lived without one. The Sensio Bella Pro 5.3 QT see through Touchscreen Air Fryer is like the perfect medium. It’s not too small where only good for one user or too big where it takes up lots of counter space real estate. Just the right size. Having presets on the touchscreen simplifies cooking and a good median point to experiment with time and temperature settings. Overall nice unit, for healthier than deep frying. Touchscreen makes it easier to clean and wipe without buttons.

This is perfect. I had another brand prior to this but the basket would suddenly separate from the drawer when pulling it out to empty it, which was dangerous. Love that this uses an insert instead so that there is nothing to fall when removing the drawer for shaking or emptying. Also love that I can check progress through the viewing window.

Not too familiar with many air fryers, but this is the first I’ve seen with a view like this into the cooking area. Why no one thought to offer this feature before is a mystery. Always skeptical of products promising to solve all manner of problems I didn’t know I even had, this air fryer really, truly cooks nicely, where I might normally create a big oily mess to properly heat up tasty snacks. I doubt I will ever *fry* French fries again! An especially nice surprise was when the unit shut off unexpectedly. Apparently, the unit was able to detect imminent burning/overcooking and stopped. It was right on the money!

I love air fryers because they are an easy and healthier way to fry food without tons of oil but also come with capabilities for quicker cooking. This air fryer has become a staple in my kitchen because it's so convenient on busy nights. I love the Bella brand already, I also own their 2 quart air fryer but needed something a little bit bigger for family meals. This air fryer is great because it has 8 different cooking options : air fry, roast, broil, bake, reheat, keep warm, dehydrate, and crisp, This air fryer also includes a 5.3 quart basket so it's a good size for family meals for 2-4 people. It includes an instruction manual as well as the air fryer and bottom tray. The settings are easy to use and straight forward. I love that it includes the see-through window because I can see how the food is cooking to change my times if needed. I find that the cooking times are on par with most instructions or conversions. The one thing I do dislike about this product is that it is LOUD. When you push the buttons to change the settings, time, or temp, it beeps every time and it seems excessively loud in my small apartment. While I dislike the loud beeps, overall, I love this product and it's the perfect kitchen appliance to keep around for effortless cooking.

Cooks fast, good controls, steep learning curve

In the world of air fryers, the Sensio Bella Pro Series 5.3 quart air fryer has a lot going for it. But it's not perfect. First the good news: It's a good looking unit, clad in a tasteful combination of shiny piano black and stainless steel. The attractive on-top controls (invisible until you plug it in) are all digital and give you a lot of control over what you are cooking, with some dedicated food buttons, like french fries. The large main display is easy to read and does triple duty as a timer, temp indicator and information indicator. It is very quiet when running and cleanup is a breeze because the entire cooking basket is covered in teflow, so not much sticks to it. But perhaps the best feature of all is a large window that gives you a good view of what is going on inside. This is something that is strangely lacking on a lot of air fryers but is essential because these kind of ovens cook so fast, food will sometimes burn before you realize what is happening. This brings us to perhaps the biggest downside to this air fryer, and many others. The cooking process is altogether different than a regular oven so the temps and times associated with foods and recipes you know by heart no longer apply. Food may be burnt on the outside and raw on the inside if you cook based on past experience. So every time you cook, you mostly guess about how to change the time and temp to make the food come out correctly. Some packaged foods provide air fryer instuctions but most do not. So every meal becomes a trip into uncertainty. Instructions with the fryer provide some general guidance on some foods but not all. This oven, along with all other air fryers, are essentially a turbo version of a regular convection oven, with a fan moving the hot air much faster than anything you have used before. So just as a convection oven will cook faster at lower temps than a regular oven, this will cook faster and at lower temps than a convection oven -- in most cases. The fast moving air is what makes "air frying" possible.... browning foods much faster, and in some cases, providing a taste that approximates what you might get out frying something as opposed to cooking it in a regular oven. Frozen prepared french fries are the best example, which is why there is a dedicated button for that. The results are excellent. Cooking oither foods is a bit of guessing game. Becasuse of the way it cooks, it is not well suited for certan food. I discovered this first hand on my first outing with this oven... attempting to cook a pot pie. In a normal oven, more than an hour at 425 degrees. Internet reseach told me to use 360 for 45 minutes but that didn't work all that well. The crust fully browned in about 10 minutes. So I was forced to wrap the entire thing in foil (the fan blows off loosely attached foil) to finish it up. I used a temperature probe to ensure it was safe to eat but still turned out pretty uncooked inside. Not very good. An example of how trial and error and constant monitoring of the food is necessary to figure out how to cook certain things that were simple before. I had much better luck on my second outing, with what I call tater tots deluxe. Regular tots covered with chopped ham, onions and cheese. The tot bag has instructions for the air fryer, which helped with the initial cooking of the tots. But my recipe requires additional steps, covering the top with the onions and ham, browining them. Then topping that cheese and melting it. I essentially just resorted to constant monitoring on each step, via the window, to figure out when step two was done and I could add the cheese in step three, followed by more cooking. The results were very good but more work than I would like. A third experiment cooking canned biscuts also went fairly well. More internet research suggested lower temps and less time, along with turning halfway through to ensure all sides browned. This worked pretty well, with the bisuits reaching a "done" level of brownness in about 5 minutes. I flipped them and cooked them 3 more minutes and got a fairly decent biscuitt.... in about half the time required in a regular oven. But the final biscuit was a bit crisper on the outside, softer on the inside, with a bit less rise than normal. The downside to rapid cooking. The bottom line here is that in time, this might prove to be a good substitute for a regular oven with certain foods. It is faster and uses a lot less electrcity. The controls are simple and easy to see and use. But a lot of trial and error cooking is required to figure out the best temp and time combination for each thing you cook -- and in some cases, it might not be what want you want to use at all because of its limitations. It's also quite bulky so not something you are likely to want to leave on your probably already overcrowded kitchen countertop. So you will need to store it after each use and then bring it back out when needed. An inconveniece. One other caveat. When first used, the air fryer produces a very pungent and persistant chemical smell. So be sure to cook near a vent or open window to keep it from fumigating your house with this smell. Also, be aware all that shiny black plastic used on the body and touch control panel shows every spec of dirt and fingerprints so keeping it looking clean requires a good bit of work. A matte finish would have made more sense.

Never Realized The Importance of a window

I've been a fan of air fryers for a couple of years now - it has replaced my microwave and it makes it much easier to cook snacks/quick meals. The first thing I noticed when taking it out of the box was that the crisping tray is a simple attachment you place in. I was worried about this as my previous air fryer had basically an additional basket tray inside, so if you pulled out the tray, you could lift the additional inner basket, leaving the larger tray on the counter. This is important as when I heat frozen cooked crawfish, I can simply dump the crawfish in the bowl and any melted water stays in the bigger basket. With that said, I don't miss it at all! The Bella See Through air fryer has 8 different "modes" with preprogrammed setting you can choose from. With the crawfish, I use the broil menu and which heats the crawfish better while retaining more of the liquid in the crawfish (in other words, I was heating them a little too long in my previous air fryer). Sure, there is still liquid, but the wider size of the basket makes it easier to dump out without pouring the liquid out. The other thing preventing me from accidentally overheating - being able to turn on the light and see the crawfish (or whatever I put in) through the window so I can tell it's not over done. I only have 2 minor issues with this air fryer. 1) even though most of the controls are touch screen - the mode names are not. So if you want to use the French Fries mode, you need to press menu 8 times, and if you press it too quickly and you hit it 9 times, you have to press it 7 more times to get there! Minor annoyance/inconvenience, the fix would be to have the mode names be touch screen as well. 2) If you remove the tray prior to pushing start, it will turn itself off. I have gotten in the habit of plugging it in, pressing menu to the mode I want, and then pulling out the tray to put in the food, and then having to cycle through the menu once more. Obviously this can be avoided by putting the food in first, but sometimes I touch the food to place in the tray, requiring me to then wash my hands before I touch to cycle through the menu again. Minor annoyance. Pros: 8 customizable pre-programmed you can adjust for your meal Large wide basket Easy to use touch screen Window and Light to check on food without having to remove the tray Removing Tray pauses cooking, resuming when tray is back in Very easy to clean Cons: Must press Menu to cycle through programs, which can take time to get to the end options Turns off if you set the program and do not press start As you can see, not a lot of cons!

My prior Air Fryer was different brand, and it performed well. However, there have been numerous improvements in Air Fryer technology and functionality since I got it. Because I own several types of Bella cookware and am happy with all items, I wanted to check out their new Model AFT05005A-UL in the Bella Pro Series of Air Fryers. I am pleased that I did. Taking the Fryer out of its box, my first thought is that it looked to have a smaller footprint and be lighter in weight than I was used to. Those impressions were correct; however, it turned out they were assets. The smaller footprint device can manage over 4 lbs. of food, and the lighter weight makes it much easier to move, if needed. Features include: • The Fryer performs all the usually expected tasks: Air Fry, Roast, Bake, Broil, Reheat, and Dehydrate. • Cooking choices and controls are easy to see on the large digital touchscreen located on the top of the cooker. Its location means no bending over to look for controls. In addition, only a noticeably light touch is required. Ergonomically great! • You can see the food and its cooking progress by touching the “Light” button, which turns on an inner light, allowing you to see the food through a window. No more having to open the cooker to see what is happening. If you do wish/need to open the cooker, the timer will pause until the cooker is closed. • The crisping tray that goes in the bottom of the pot has a small pickup tab in the center to aid you in removing the tray for cleaning. No fumbling around trying to get it out of its snug position. • Excellent non-stick coating on the pot and the crisping tray makes them quite easy to clean. They can be put in the dishwasher, but I prefer to soak them in hot water and Dawn. Later, I use a soft cloth to wash off any remaining cooking residue that didn’t rinse off by itself. Either method means no scrubbing needed. • Now for one of my favorite improvements in cooking with a Fryer: Turn on the cooker and wait for it to heat up to the proper temperature? Not with this one! Cooking instructions say 400 degrees for 15 minutes. Put the food in, program the numbers, and don’t worry. In 15 minutes, the food is done. You could have spent an additional 10-15 minutes preheating (as I have done with other cookers). The 1500-Watt circular heat technology is seriously amazing. Almost like magic! • One thing to bear in mind when cooking is the time and temperature a recipe calls for are not always spot on. So, rather than blame the cooker, make your own adjustments, as necessary. For example, I now know to cut about 2 minutes off sweet potato cook time. My boldest use was cooking a Porterhouse steak. I had planned to grill the steak outdoors, but pouring rain killed that plan. Since I had the steak already prepared, I put it into the pot and used the Air Fry function. It was ready in about 10 minutes for medium. The cooker, to its credit, did its job and helped me on a rainy day. Even so, it’s hard to beat steaks grilled outdoors. In the Model AFT05005A-UL Air Fryer, Bella has once again shown they make quality products. This Fryer is a great kitchen partner, especially if you are in a time jam. It’s got the magic power!
