Out of the box the fryer looks sleek with the stainless steel finish and smooth touchscreen. The weight is heavy enough it won't slide around when pressing buttons, but not so heavy that its cumbersome to move around. The footprint makes it such that it can be stored on the counter without taking up much more space than my large coffee maker, and due to pull out basket, as opposed to a lift up lid, it can fit under the upper cabinets without a problem.
