Doing that I have to pay full price sales tax. So I prefer have $200 off the main item price and $200 for gift card (Amazon does this way). In this case you don't pay sales taxes TWICE !!

After spending over an hour on the phone with best buy customer service they are and have been unable to provide information on the egift card. I tried digital and phone support, was transferred 5 plus times where the person said 'I promise i'm your person' but ultimately just dumped me to another department. Buyer beware I would not recommend doing business any longer with Best Buy. Its not the brand it once was.
