The promotional gift card does not work. Talked to six different people giving me different timelines and excuses and still not fixed! I talked to one guy that tried to charge me $4.95 to fix the gift card, would not put a supervisor on the phone unless I gave him my bank card info! When I told him I wasn't paying for them to fix my gift card and wasn't giving him my card info I was then told he wasn't putting me through to the supervisor until I did. Finally after I told him I was recording the call and was calling corporate to play it for them he finally transfered me. The supervisor was just as rude. He told me that was procedure and then gave me another number to call before hanging up on me. The number he gave me had nothing to do with Best Buy! I will not be shopping with Best Buy again after this. Beware if you are offered a promotional gift card to buy something. I made my purchase in November, it's six days before Christmas and still no gift card!

You get promotional gift cards after purchases! You can use them the same as a normal gift card

I received this item at no extra charge as it was a gift for buying a $100 Apple Gift Card from Best Buy. Best Buy promptly delivered it to my inbox within a few minutes after I placed the order. Redemption was also easy.

These are often given for preorders for video games (in this case I got it for my Guardians of the Galaxy Preorder). A nice bonus to use toward future purchases! Will preorder more from Best Buy in the future.
