Monica Pahouja Subject: Complaint Regarding Faulty Washer Installation on May 20th Dear Best Buy Customer Service, I am writing to express my deep concern and dissatisfaction regarding the recent installation of appliances I purchased from your store. On May 20th, 2024, I bought a washer, dryer, and refrigerator from Best Buy, and the installation team arrived that same day to set up the appliances in my new home. Unfortunately, the installation was not performed correctly. Specifically, the washer was not hooked up properly, leading to significant water damage. It appears the installer turned on the washer to check if it was functioning correctly; however, by the time we returned to the property that evening, we found our carpet and wood floors completely soaked. As a result of this improper installation, we had to cut into the walls to locate the source of the leak, which was confirmed to be the washer. This incident has caused considerable damage to our new home, which we had not yet moved into. Given these circumstances, I am requesting immediate action from Best Buy to address and rectify this situation. I expect the following: 1. An immediate inspection and proper re-installation of the washer to ensure it is functioning correctly and without leaks. 2. Compensation for the water damage to our carpet, wood floors, and walls, including the cost of any necessary repairs and replacements. 3. A written assurance that steps will be taken to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future to other customers.
