However, found that the wire is thinner than average - I would estimate 26 gauge. Also found that it was susceptible to interference from power cables causing no connectivity if touching or close by - confirmed by testing with quality cables and remedied by rerouting with at least 4-6 inches separation after connected. Overall I would not purchase this again and would look to purchase quality cable for custom needs.

First day went relatively ok, but i did not use the pc much so the cord could have had issues. I just didn't notice. On the second day, I noticed regular drops in connection with the cord. I checked my other cords with the same ports and vice versa. The cord routinely drops the connection. I would suggest a higher quality cord.

Plugged it in and--nothing. Totally dead, no connection. Pulled out an older 25-foot cable I had and got an instant connection. I'll know to avoid 'Best Buy essentials' products from now on.
