I switched to LAN wired..man oh man. 501mbps the differences are insane! Highly recommend to any thinking of switching for faster speeds.

It does have shields over the jacks so there less chance of the retaining clip breaking off like it is likely to do with the unshielded models. It was reasonable priced and a good value.

I had to connect this cable between rooms at home in order to work while I wait for my wireless router to arrive. Overall it's great as the length allows you to connect to ethernet from quite a ways away.
